You found this out before me! How?! Fuck it, I don't care. !! w00t !!
I've been trying to keep track of this as much as humanly possible with my bad memory, but at least now I know when its coming out! Can't wait to get my hands on the Japanese DVD and fansubbing that sucker to Hebrew...!
I'm almost afraid to see who they've chosen for the English cast, what with what they did in Kingdom Hearts and all... They weren't... "bad", but... well... You know, I'm going to go into it. I just hope they think a little harder/have better recruiting methods.
The Japanese voices are kick ass, though: I know half of them from the anime I watch, and its cool to hear them as FFVII characters! My favorite people that they've chosen are:
Shoutarou Morikubo (Kadaj), who plays Naruto in... need I say?
Keiji Fujiwara (Reno), who played Maes Hughes in Fullmetal Alchemist.
Toru Okawa (Rufus), who played Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist.
Kenichi Suzumura (Zack), who plays Shinn Asuka in Gundam SEED Destiny.
Maaya Sakamoto (Aeris), also a VERY famous singer, played Hitomi Kanzaki in Escaflowne.
Toshiyuki Morikawa (Sephiroth) is famous for his bad-guy voices such as Naraku in InuYasha, but sounds completely different for his good-guy voices like Sora in .hack//SIGN or Alex Row in Last Exile.
I'm fucking syched!

News from E3 2005!
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will recieve a simultaneous release: It comes out on DVD in the US on September 13th, and then in Japan on September 14th. This is our time, but virtually speaking, its the same day considering they're seven hours ahead if I recall right.
I don't know about anyone else, but I plan on buying both. The Japanese Special Edition and whatever they come out with here in the US. All in all, I can expect to blow at least $150 in all. Its gonna rock.
This information also came along with a very new and very fucking awesome trailer. You can find the .torrent for the movie...
HERE. Note that you need a BitTorrent client installed to download it. But its well worth your time... Trust me.
The audio portion of the movie is expected to be finished at the end of May, with lip synching starting in June. The final preparations and editing start in July. And finally, TV promotions and production will start in August!
Hell yes.

Due to the holiday season, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will not be released in North America as scheduled on the 13th of September. EGM magazine merely state that it will be released, instead, "this holiday season". No specific date.
Fuck!!
The release of Advent Children in Japan in still scheduled for and will remain September 14th (the 13th here in America).
Sweet! I preordered the Japanese version!
Futhermore, "Final Fantasy VII: Last Order", the short anime OAV, will only be released in the Ultimate Edition package of Advent Children, which retails for 29,500 yen ($270). There is no planned English version as the Ultimate Edition is not intended to be sold in the states.
I promise to fansub it and have it out for you viewing pleasure ASAP!

A $270 DVD package? Better be one hell of a package...

The Ultimate Edition package for Advent Children includes:
1. A large figurine of Cloud and Fenrir.
2. A newly manufactured Final Fantasy VII video game, based on the International version with new CD and case art.
3. The Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children DVD.
4. A "Behind the Scenes of Advent Children" DVD.
5. A Final Fantasy VII official game script.
6. The Final Fantasy VII: Last Order DVD, which is a short anime OAV about the Final Fantasy VII video game.
7. An Advent Children hat.
8. An Advent Children T-Shirt.
9. An Advent Children keychain.
I think there's a mouse pad too, but I don't remember... Out of my price range anyway, so screw it. I have the game's two versions: The orignal White edition and the newer Silver edition. I also be getting the Limited Edition version of Advent Children (Japanese) and whatever package of Advent Children they release here in the US. I'll also be personally subbing the Last Order OAV once I can get my hands on it from someone else... I don't need anything more. But it's a sweet thought on their part.

That is a fuck load of money for a DVD package. Good thing they packed it full of shit, otherwise I'd gladly tell them to go straight to Hell, do not pass GO, and don't collect the 200.

Hey, Break, if you get that package, I wanna borrow it. Or at least swing by your place and watch it... slobber too, maybe. The following import sites, which are trustworthy, having bought from both, carry the Ultimate Edition for a slightly higher price (last I checked):
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/ &
http://www.yesasia.com/ . This is for anyone interested.
Oh, and just checking up on the package, they actually changed what they were including in the package. Bastards. I'm changing the above post to match.
