//Edit: Break, Im a retard.. Move this to the PS2 forum please.

Usually, I stay clear of Game based on Movies, but Im willing to make an exception with this; to me it looks like (Max Payne + Kung Fu) * 10 cool. Enter the Matrix will be released for all platforms on May 15th (along with Matrix: Reload); I haven't been able to dig up any screenshots from any system besides the PS2, but let me say, that the screenshots from the PS2 are the -BEST- I have ever seen this console produce.

Image
Those Jaggies that are almost always found in PS2 games... None in sight! That is what amazed me the most.. I'd always though it impossible for a photo-realistic game to be so Jaggy-free on the PS2. Apparently its not impossible!

Image
High Detail Char. models as expected.. The part that also woo-ed me was that they got the same actors for the movie to do the voice and Motion Capture for the game. Its also being directed by the Wachowski Brothers, who are avid gamers; they say that they dont want this to be another shitty movie-to-game deal. Apparently it will contain over an hour of film from the same sets as the movie with the real actors, exclusivly from the game.

Sorry to go off on a tangent like that.. The real point of the post was to discuss the graphics of the game. Keep in mind folks, that the shots above are from the PS2.. It shall be very interesting to see how PC, Xbox and GC compare..

The only 'flaw' I could really see with the PS2 is in these screenies:

Image
Lack of Colors (color depth I mean). Look in the wall behind the chick, and the Police Guys Shirt.. Some of the colors meld together and make a ugly looking blending; there should be shades of black, but it is a greeny color.... ewww. This is an earlier screenshot, so the problem may have been fixed by now..

i'd say that problem, even if it makes it to the final release is a small one. in fact, i don't think you'd notice during gameplay, atleast i wouldn't. but other than that, this game looks amazing.

I have it for PC already.. The game looks like ass, IMO. Gameplay is decent, although, sometimes the charactors does retarded stuff cuase controlls are a little janky.. And I dont know why they even bothered putting mouse aim in the PC version, cuase it doesnt work.

I've played both the PS2 version and the Xbox version of Enter the Matrix, and I, personally, thought that the graphics were a definite step up on Xbox. I bought the game for Xbox after renting it for PS2. The graphics were not as good on PS2, and with the Xbox you get the choice of Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, which intersts me a lot. For the game, I like it. The gameplay style reminds me of Max Payne, and with the extra movie footage - it's worth the $30 that it's priced for on the shelf right now.
