Who was it who said this version was a fake?

I really don't like that design. But, the design really means nothing to me. I mean it'd be a plus, but the actual console and games are what matters. The GameCube's a lunchbox, the Xbox is a behemoth, and the ps2 just kind of fits in. I really don't care what they look like... I mean i'd rather they not look like ass, but whatever floats the boat.

Doesn't look all that bad. I mean, it's kinda stylish. Personally, given the choice, mine won't be upright.
That being said, I think it's a really crappy picture of it. And kudos to Microsoft for keeping everything a secret until May 12th.

Maybe it'll look better with a better photo.. That one IS taken with a camera phone.

Meh, it doesn't look all that bad. I'm with Jack on that, and mine will not be standing either. My PS2 sits and so will that. Like Break said, it's all in the power. Style is just a bonus.

Just for those wondering, I found this nifty little size comparison picture. From what I gathered, they used the average size of a dvd drive to calculate the actual size of the 360.
I guess that means we all can't complain about the console being ginormous anymore.

Plus it looks like Microsoft is offering an eyetoy alternative.

Concerned about the controller. Where are the black and white buttons? They 'been moved to above the triggers? Haven't seen that angle yet.

Yes, there are now 4 triggers now, apparently.

"Another interesting implication of the photos -- which include close-up shots of the controller, an image of the system, headset, and apparent camera attachment, and a shot of the Xbox 360's remote control -- is that the controllers will be wireless, and that a separate hard drive seems to attach to the top of the vertically-aligned 360.
The first official public display of the Xbox 360 will be on Thursday, May 12th, when MTV shows its special on the system at 9:30 EST. The system and select launch games will also be present at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo from May 18th-20th.

I'm really interested to see this new system when it's officially shown, better pics, etc. The current pics look interesting though. At least the system should be smaller than the original beast.
I have to say right now, I'm actually the most excited about the next XBox. I was the first to be skeptical of MS's first system, but it's probably my favorite and most played of the current systems. I'm a huge Nintendo fan too, but I know nothing but wild speculation on the revolution, so until I see something I'm skeptical. The Cube had a lot of good games like VJoe, RE4, Zelda's, and a few others, but no online play and many games only coming to PS2 and XBox left my Cube collecting more dust than more often.
The only thing I can say right now is, I hope they change the name, and it's not XBox 360, that just doesn't sound quite right to me.

Yeah, the name is lame.
Nintendo released their online plans today, or some of them. It's rumored to be better than Xbox live and free. We'll have to wait for E3 to know for sure.

I'm still debating whether or not to buy this system. I love my PS2 only because of it's games, nothing else. Gamecube has great games, but they're all rehashes and sequels. I need something new! Xbox has Halo and some racing games. I hate racing but I love FPS games. Xbox doesn't have much Platformers as PS2 does though. I know if I go with Sony, then they'll screw me up somehow. Nintendo doesn't seem as promising as they used to for me, and Microsoft...is Microsoft.

We don't really know enough about the three, especially Nintendo and Sony, to make a decision yet. It's all wild speculation right now.
