I hope these new game modes and features will be available in later releases on the ps2. Does anybody know if they are planning to release another DDR to the ps2 besides DDRMAX2 in the fall? I don't like MAX2 that much, I would really like to see Extreme released to the systems.

I'd really like to see Extreme on the PS2 as well, but it probably won't be out for a while, unfortunately. As for DDR Xbox (Called DDR UltaMix, I guess)- here's a song list from the demo at E3
DDR UltaMix (Xbox):
MGS2: Mission R / LED
What Is Love / Tomosuke
Mind Parasite / Tomosuke
Keep Your Body Movin' / Thuggie D
On The Jazz / Johnny Dynamite!
Quickening / DJ Taka
Electrotuned (the SubS Mix) / TaQ
Overblast / LED Light
Lets Talk it Over / Shin Murayama feat. Argie Phine
Kind Lady / Okuyatos
Look To The Sky (True Color Mix) / System S.F. feat. Anna

Don't forget the ability to download new songs.
I also heard that you could make your own songs by ripping it to the hard drive. Then you could trade/download other's songs online.

Hmmm I think that's wishful thinking. MS and Konami don't want to get in trouble with people using it as a way to trade MP3s. That's a PC feature (Stepmania or Dance With Intensity) that would be nice, but prolly won't happen. It doesn't need to happen with downloadable songs.

It's already been confirmed by Konami. Ripping and trading will be very much a part of DDR Ultramix (official title). Also, don't forget that Microsoft's Music Mixer will allow you to transfer all of your mp3s from your PC's hard drive (sorry mac users) and put them on your xbox hard drive for no cost at all. Plus, you can even karaoke to them! How cool is that? Awesome I tell you, awesome. Go get an Xbox.
edit: They also announced that there will be downloadable songs, step charts, and even hinted at some form of online head-to-head play mode. Take that ps2! Don't get me wrong, I'll probably get MAX2 also, but I really want Ultramix now. It just sounds cooler, and we get better FMVs and songs on our game.
