In a recent interview with USA Today, Robin Williams informed them that he collects a lot of anime and is looking forward to seing Steamboy. He comments, "The Japanese are very aware that animation isn't just for kids to the point of making pornography. They make deeply dark movies, science-fiction movies."

I thought that this was just cool and thought I'd let everyone know. I've always liked most of Robin Williams' movies. Sure, there were a few I didn't really agree with, but I still watch most of his movies.

Maybe some animation companies in America will get the hint one of these days to start taking after Japan. I know some already have (the classic Heavy Metal, for instance (long time ago though)), but its nice that some stars of Hollywood can admit to and give publicity to the growing genre.

Yeah if some American companies actually started making anime quality cartoons such as FMA or Yu Yu hakusho then there may even be an anime channel...perhaps it will even be uncut (we can dream cant we? Although I could do without seeing Goku's balls)

Ive always wondered why no cartoon companies here in America have tried to create a cartoon that is like Japanese anime. It COULD be because of censoring and other crap or some kind of agreement that states that cartoon companies can only put so much in a cartoon unless its a movie.
