I just finished watching the last fanslated ep. I REALLY like this series. Good story progression, pacing, character development, character design, everything is above par. Now I just need to wait for the box sets to come out.

I could only find 45 eps, is that all that has been made so far? Does anyone know how much of the original novel series these eps constitute?

Episode 45: "Sea God of the East, Azure Sea of the West - Reminiscence Chapter" was the last episode of Twelve Kingdoms, as far as I'm aware. It was only scheduled for those 45 episodes, and if they'll create more is not known at this time... There could possibly be some OAVs/OVAs, but, like I said, no one knows at this point.

EDIT: Twelve Kingdoms ended in 2003 in Japan, so if they do make some off-shoot of it, it should be sometime around now or in the coming of 2005...

That sucks, there's no ending whatsoever. I still love the series, but damn.

Everyone has a series like that, I suppose. Just ask any Ranma fan. God, I don't know how they could do that... watch seven seasons and get no God damned ending and still love it. I hated it afterwards.

Just watched the first Hellsing OVA ep.

This one was a little disappointing because it just re-told the story already covered in the first few eps of the original anime, but following eps will diverge, sticking closer to the manga.

Pluses - Police Girl actually kicks a little butt is this. In the first series she never really got into her vampire powers much.

Minuses - The music, heart and soul of the original TV anime series, is GONE. What replaces it is nothing compared to such fang-growing tracks as "Dracula's Holy Pupil and R&R" and "Survival On The Street Of Insincerity". A HUGE loss.

I have barely EVER watched ANY anime AT ALL, but I watched Hellsing and Indeed remember the Police Girl. LOL

She's very memorable.

Ah! The second Hellsing OVA just came out! Torrenting now....
