Just wanted to let you guys know I love your show, listen every week, it's funny as hell but the EA bashing is getting sickening. I know the license deal pissed you all off but to say Madden is a bad game is ridiculous. Anyway, kick ass show.

EA sux
Sega sux alot less
Sony sux equally with EA
Actually, Sony may suck more than EA. I would know. I work at an electronic repair shop. You wouldn't believe how many PS2's we get in for repair. Xbox we get in once in a while, and we have only gotten one GameCube ever. Sony used to be the best TV/Electronics maker around, but as of late, they are putting crappy equipment out. We used to get Sony TV's in for repair once upon a blue moon, but now sony big screens are streaming in every week. TV's that are only 2 or 3 years old many times. This is of course good for our business, but it makes me lose my respect for their company. Sony has joined the many other crappy electronics retailers in shipping low grade equipment for quick profits. My rant on Sony is because you are obviously a PS2 fanboy. What Xbox owner luvs Madden. Sony Sux and so does EA. EA will eventually buy out the gaming industry, and when that happens, videogames will cease to be worth playing. Sony Sux. Ea Sux. Microsoft Rocks and so does Nintendo. Look at Microsoft, they are one of the richest companies in the world, but they still put out a pretty awesome console. And they have released two games that are arguably some of the best FPS games around. So that is proof that big companies do not equal crappy games always. But with EA, it is just that. Granted, Microsoft bought Bungie in order to release those great games, but EA has done the same thing, and yet they still can't put a decent game out. So I see little hope for EA in the future.

Glad you like the show man! I also respect you very much for expressing your opinion when you knew it would prolly be the minority. *High five dogg*
To address your points, however, I don't like EA for many reasons but here are the top 3:
1. They were making their employees work 90 hour work weeks which disrupted several personal lives and marriages. Class-action lawsuits are pending on this.
2. The above made games severely sub par. Most EA games I find to be of lower quality than other companies. (Complete opinion)
3. I know there are people that enjoy Madden, but I can't stand it.
Realize that what we say on the show is most of the time purely editorial and should be taken with a grain of salt. I obviously don't advocate satanism or dope smoking (wouldn't have anything against those who do,) but I joke about it on the show. Yes, I have distaste for EA, but if I said, "Hey what's up, this is BreakmanX. EA makes subpar products" and leave it at that... It just wouldn't be the game show. We never edit ourselves for any reason, what you hear is us being ourselves. We are projecting ourselves outward, and we are all very opinionated people. It is very doubtful that you will always agree with us. But, when you don't agree, take a look back and say, "Well, they have a different opinion," and leave it at that.
EA will continue to be bashed until they stop doing things that are bashable. I don't hold grudges for long, and if they cleaned up their act I'd be ok with them. Same goes for any developer, we talk about them based on what we think with the information. When they stop making headlines for doing bad things, then we will stop talking about them.
This goes for everything we say.
Thanks again for listening to the show, and I hope this clears up our EA stance.

Thanks for listening, yo.
I sometimes wonder if more people listen to us because they hate us, than because they like us. But it's nice to know someone is entertained.

Thanks for the responses.
Dubya:
You said "My rant on Sony is because you are obviously a PS2 fanboy". That totally came out of nowhere. First of all, Madden has been out for pretty much every console for years now. You can go ahead and call me a GameGear fanboy, even a 3DO fanboy. Anyway, enough with the fanboy shit. I'm just a gamer. I love all consoles, i have almost all consoles and they each have their plusses and minuses like we all know. But i'll give you one thing. I've had to take my PS2 back twice and my XBOX back once...never my GameCube.
BreakmanX:
Yeah I agree that it's pretty bad that EA has turned into a sweatshop and they have recently released some shitty games. And I also understand that you guys are ESPN NFL Football fans and I would be completely pissed off if the exact reverse happened(If ESPN got the exclusive license). I'm just a Madden freak I guess, I gave ESPN a try this year and I actually liked it, but only played it the one time.
I totally understand the way the show is, that's why I listen. You guys dont give a shit what people think about your opinions and that makes it interesting and different. Nothing's watered down. People like that. Maybe it was the fact that last week nothing much happened in the world of gaming and you guys got hung up on the EA thing a bit too long.
Anywho, thanks for the response and keep the show rockin.
Richie:
I think what the people is the unedited, unscripted nature of the show. Heck, all day at work I usually listen to the old streams of super old gaming news just because it's entertaining. Who does that? Who would watch old CNN news casts? Not many people, because CNN is boring.

You are right. Madden is not really a bad game, but it's not as good as some of the competition. And now, without anymore competition, they have no reason to improve either. Sure, they'll make the graphics prettier I'm sure, but it just will never reach it's full potential without any competition. But I'm not really that pissed about the whole deal, cause EA is shooting themselves in the leg. They paid a ton of money to get the NFL licence exclusive, and that means they'll have less room for profits. They were hoping that getting exclusive NFL rights would would make them the only football game on the block, but there are already reports that the ESPN and Midway football games are gonna be a whole lot better without the stupid limitations that the NFL licence held over them. Sorry EA, you still can't have any fights on the field, dirty plays, or true trash-talking. Sega on the other hand....
Also, almost as exciting to me is Midways direction on next years football game.
IGN wrote:Midway has hired the writer of the show "Playmakers" to develop a new title,
Blitz: Playmakers. The game will feature everything the NFL hated about the TV show, including drug use, and off-the-field habits the NFL likes to pretend never happens.
When IGN contacted Midway about the rumored Blitz: Playmakers, a spokesperson confirmed the game's existence and told us: "Enough of the 'No Fun League'...it's now time to talk about and prepare for the game the NFL wouldn't let anyone make...Blitz the way it should be played."

I think that's it exactly. Also glad to see that you peruse the archives, and that you get enjoyment out of them.
And we will most definately continue to keep it rockin'.

The new Blitz looks really cool. And nice to have you around MrClutch, you seem to be very cool-headed. But, after time, like us, its fun to throw some spice on the forums, even though we dont mean most of it.

I agree with Dubya and Loose; the profane aspects of Blitz make it wildly provocative.
