Wow. This leaves Gamecube's exclusive 2005 line-up to Geist, Jungle Beat, and Zelda now.....ouch.
*crosses fingers for xbox release too, but doesn't hold out too much hope*

Hey, I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
I like Nintendo. I HATE the decisions they've made in the last 5 years. The DS is the first thing that they seem to have gotten right in a long time. It would take me so long to talk about all of the things that I think nintendo as a company has done that just make you want to tear your hair out.
That being said, I don't hate nintendo, I just hate the crappy decisions/contracts they make.

civilly unified? is that like a common law marriage?
jack i wasn't saying you hate nintendo. i know you don't, i'm just saying that it often looks like you do. but don't get me wrong i know you don't hate nintendo. you had a gamecube way before me. and i understand you being upset with some of the things nintendo does. i agree they do some pretty dumb stuff. just look at the song list of donkey konga. that really could have been a lot better.

It sucks that Resident Evil 4 won't be Gamecube exclusive, but it will be for almost a year. Although I doubt it, hopefully Playstation 2 fans will not be able to wait that long and decide to play it on Gamecube. But honestly I'm not all that suprised. Capcom did the same with Viewtiful Joe and are doing it with Viewtiful Joe 2 also. Actually I wouldn't be suprised if when Resident Evil 4 comes out on Playstation 2, they will put extra things in it like they did for the Playstation 2 version of Viewtiful Joe. From what I hear, this is most likely not the decision of Shinji Mikami because he's be vocal about his dislike of Sony and the Playstation 2. Apparently there's some quote where he says that if Resident Evil 4 came out on any other system than Gamecube, he would cut his head off or something. Well, anyways, I look forward to playing Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube. It's just unfortunate that things always have to be about $$$. That is what I believe this decision was mostly based on.

thank freaking god. I LOVE RE. It was the only thing that migth have driven me to ever get a game cube after they made the bastard decision to out of nowhere, to a) put RE on nintendo anything, and b) make it exclusive.
I was so pissed.
The remake of RE:1 is one of the best gaems i've ever played though, it's all around great. Except for the notches on that damned controller.

Not directly, but it is true that RE was hoping to change GCN's reputation as the "kiddy" console. So, this is a major blow to Nintendo in that regard. I'm actually very worried for Nintendo. What would the gaming industry be without them?! Just movie games? There's a scarry thought. We could be playing Catwoman 12! I hope that Nintendo does better the next time around. And let's not forget, Nintendo is still a very rich company! They have enough resources to fail a couple of times, and still get up and fight again. I'll be crossing my finger for a successful DS launch and for the Revolution.be real...RE is not going to make or break Nintendo.
I share in your high hopes for Nintendo Dubya. Nintendo has said that the Revolution will be just that, a new and fresh way to play video games. This goes beyond innovative software, this is a different mind-set all together. I want Nintendo to succeed very very badly. I hope it doesn't end up as all fluff and no results.
