Proto Man the Game

To those who really care,
Hello, my name is Zephyris. I'm a teenager who is proficient in Typesetting effects for anime, who has an intrigue for the Japanese culture, and is hoping to one day get a job at a gaming company as a programmer or some annoying translation guy whom everyone hates and co-workers talk about what they're going to do to him next time at the meeting by the water cooler... or end up writing novels no one reads.
Okay, now that that's out of the way, I have a proposition for those of you who are still reading this post:
Recently fixated back into my head was a story I was writing years and years ago about why Proto Man disappeared from the Mega Man sagas and probably won't ever appear again. Recently, the Mega Man Anniversary Collection was released and I went and picked it up. I jammed for about 30 to 40 minutes apiece on each of the games, beating them one right after another for an entire day.
After I sufficiently beat the crap out of the games, I was suddenly reminded of that "fan fiction" and wondered if I should ever finish it... surfing the net, I came across various works and articles and games that were created using the "RPG Maker 2003" and "Game Maker" programs.
I sat there for several hours, thinking to myself, "Should I? Or shouldn't I?And damn Shakespeare for creating that saying, which I seem to always repeat to myself when I'm considering something."
That's when I took the dive and decided...
I can't do it myself. If I can successfully recruit dedicated members, I devote myself and all the caffine in Florida to making an authentic, awe-inspring SNES-graphic RPG of a new chapter in the Mega Man saga, starring Proto Man (Blues or Break Man, but for the sake of this post I'll keep it his most well-known name), which will fit in between Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero and tie the two together. The first scenario is contained within my tiny brain and the rest of the story, unformatted, is sitting along side of it.
The following is a list of catagories I need a person or several people to fill (I'd like two on each if at all possible, if not, one will do):
Battle Animators: Battle Sprites, Attack Animations, Magic Animations, etc.
Chip Set Creators: Grass, Mountains, Walls, Backgrounds, etc.
Character Set Creators: Character Sprites, NPC Sprites, etc.
Face Set Creators: Menu Mug Shots, Dialogue Mug Shots, etc.
System Set Creators: A "skin" for the Dialogue, Main Menu, Battle Menu, etc.
MIDI Artists: BG Music, Themes, Sound Effects, etc.
I can probably do some of those myself, but, like I said, I can't do it all by myself, and my sprite making skills really suck. It would also be nice to recruit a second person that is familiar with RPGMaker 2003 (that's what I plan on using to create this game) since I'm just beginning to become familiar with it. I'll accept any help I can get.
If you're interested in helping me out, or just wanna provide morale support (help would be nicer though), E-mail me at [email protected] or add me to MSN Messenger at the same address. My Yahoo ID is "sencora_xeuxs" (without the quotes) and my AIM ID is "chriszephyris" (without the quotes) and my ICQ number is 223544858.
I can also be found on randomly on IRC on the server irc.immortal-anime.net in the channel #anime-conan where I help sub and encode Detective Conan and Gakkou no Kaidan. Just ask for me and they'll keep an eye out, or they should at least.
"If you prove your worth," as many bad and good guys have said in various movies, I'll let you in on the project and main storyline. Remember: I want DEDICATED members. Don't just join for a week and decide leave with your appointed duties only a quarter or half finished... I'll hate you for that.
Ja ne...!
SIDE NOTE: I'm looking to make this game's graphics similar to "Tales of Phantasia" by Namco. Tales of Phantasia a game that was never released in America. The SNES version (there are two, SNES and PSX versions), which I want this game to resemble, graphic wise, was translated and released on the net by "DeJap Translations". Some screenshots of the game can be found HERE.
