It is sorta a mix of Risk and Age of Empires and something else... Turn based strategy (moving armies, making structures, making troops, assasinating enemy kings and generals, and more..), then when you fight battles it is real time craziness of war.

I think that something else you couldn't name was shogun total war. Which was the 1st total war game. I haven't played this one but shogun was great.

This is the one game i've played in the last year that I HATED. "So i move these dudes that look like ants and i want to be on the hill..what?"
