Apparently Doom 3 has gone gold, and will ship around August 3rd. Good news for fans.
But don't get too excited because you're going to need a mainframe just to run the game. I was curious about the minimum system requirements for the game, seeing as how my computer is getting rather old by gaming standards. You're going to need, as a minimum, a 128 MB video card, and a 2.5 Ghz processor.
I guess I'll be waiting for the Xbox version later this year. At least that will have some extra stuff like an online co-op mode.
