Came across this little link in my online travels this morning...
http://www.wired.com/news/games/0,2101,57464,00.html
Basically the article just bitches about the poor performance of SimCity4 on even high end machines.
The funniest part is that they EA (publisher) is still standing by its minimal system requirements of 500-MHz processor with 128 MB of memory, which are numbers they just pulled out of thier ass. And the author implies that SimCity4 has higher system requirement than the upcomming Doom3.. LOLOLOL

When I first got the game, I though it was just my machine giving me cruddy performance, but it seems like the problem is much more wide spread than just me... Even at the lowest visual settings (which makes the game look like cats vomit) it still runs slower than a cripple old man who is dragging a train filled with elephants who had Dark Matter for Breakfast....recently purchased SimCity 4 thinking that his Athlon 1900 with 1.5 GB of memory and an Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti4600 graphics card would be more than adequate. Instead, he found that after playing for a while, the game ran so sluggishly he could no longer enjoy it.
