No. I hate the past of videogames. I'm evil.

Alright guys. Tell me what you think. How would you feel about some special "old skool" reviews of SNES and NES games?

I'm going to vote no, not because I hate the past of videogames, but because since they are classic games I would assume most of us have already played them. At that point a review would be sort of futile. Keep doing reviews over games that are new, they help me decide whether or not I should buy them.

I would say yes and no.
I HATE how some magazines give "retro reviews" and review the game just like the new releases (only with shorter written sections), comparing it to the new games and then giving it a number, just like their new releases. No. Don't do that.
Numbers aren't necessary. I think for classic games it should be Yay, Nay, or Meh. Some games are classics; they are must-plays for the true gamer now matter how old the game may be. They're Yays. Some games are not must-plays, but are fun nevertheless; they do things right, even though they are not pillars of the gaming communities. They're Mehs. And then there's the ones that should just be left behind and forgotten. Bad games that might catch one's attention from a catchy name or favorite license, but should be avoided at all costs. These are Nays.
Just my two cents. Numbers suck. Thumbs-up/thumbs-down good. Hell do a Siskel and Ebert (Ebert and Roper, whatever) and have two people review.

Old-skool reviews are cool, if they teach me something I didn't know before. Don't just reviews Space Invaders or something, make it more of a history lesson than a review. Don't give it a score, it would be meaningless.
I have spoken.
