Awesome indeed, Uematsu is a genious of a composer. If Miyamoto is the guru of design, Uematsu is the guru of music.

That is awesome, but there are also many other great japanese game composers out there that are just as good if not better than Uematsu who will never get recognition here in the US.

True, but Uematsu is the John Williams of video games. He's had the good fortune to make some fantastic music for some really good games.
