If the PS3 versions of any multi-platform games run or look noticably better than their 360 counterparts I'll play them, but otherwise I'll probably play the 360 versions just for the achievement points.
Same here, V. I also love Xbox LIVE more than I do PS3 online. HOPEFULLY we'll see more exclusives like MGS4 and GT5 coming our way soon. Until then it's Resistance and blu-ray movies. It really seems like all the multi-console releases have faired better in reviews on the 360. Don't know if it's just me that's noticing that, but I haven't seen a multi-release that has reviewed PS3>360, just the opposite.

I've noticed it too, and showed that to my brother.

He's a tad pissed about that fact since Sony's his favorite game company. I'm pretty sure he decided that solely on the fact that the PS1 had FF7.

The ps3 versions will get better as the console's been out longer. The devs have had a year to work with the 360, but not much time with the ps3 at all. Time will tell, but I suspect that the ps3 will start to look better sometime this summer.

Yup.

I mean, look at the difference between Evergrace and Final Fantasy XII. PS3 graphics are going to get tens of times better than they are now. Load times will shorten, online features will be added, etc. Just you wait. :)

I wouldn't make too many predictions on load times. They tend to follow random trends. Sometimes they push the hardware too much and so load times take longer. On the other hand, some are conservative with the hardware and tighten up the cells and thus the load times shorten. Some disguise the load times so we can't tell they're taking place.

Ultimately load times vary from game to game, so yah...as I said, don't get your hopes up there, lest you be disappointed.

Addressing your other comment on the games, Verence, the ratings in the games are based on more than just graphics...Critics get fired for saying a version of a game's better or worse than another if they base everything solely on graphics.

Also, if the reviews were solely on graphics, the PS3 obviously wins by a razor thin margin ever time.

When did I say graphics were the only thing that mattered?

Never, that's when. :P

Well, you didn't state it out right but you did include a sentence that left the strong impression that you meant it.

You read too much into what people say.

Try taking things at face value. :P

Oblivion's supposed to be better looking on PS3 than 360.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing a few games come out for ps3 this year that will just look amazing. I, still, honestly doubt that any multi-console release will look THAT much better on the ps3. I see them being pretty equal when it comes to that. Which means, I'll have a LOT more 360 games than PS3 games, and I'll stick with SCEA releases for the PS3 mostly.

Yeah, probably not much difference multi-platform-wise. I think the PS3 is capable of more, but the 360 is easier to program.

well yeah the programming structure is similar to that of windows. i want to see a game that is on Ps3 First ported to 360. for example, motorstorm and resistance.
