OK, Vent is working fine I guess, I just need to get a new mic before sunday.

If it starts at 8:00, will anyone still be on at 10:30? :(

If we're having fun, hopefully we'll be playing all night long!

NOW I remember why I stopped PC gaming all those years ago. Because of dumb shit like this. God bless consoles and their plug-and-play holy goodness. :P

EDIT:

Nevermind.

After much 1337 HAXXORing I can finally say that I'm running UT99 PERFECTLY.

Let's get fraggin'.
Let me know what you did to fix the problem man, cause I have the EXACT same problems on my end right now.

Fucking Vent, and I thought we had it all worked out.

I'm on for the rest of the night for tech support.

Do you have a dual-core processor?

Yes sir I do. I bought the Unreal Anthology and UT2004 runs extremely well, but GOTY is sucking it up big time and I think it's the same problem you had.

Yup, I guess now I have to reveal that I didn't haxxor Unreal to get it to work. I installed this program that emulates older video cards.

GlideWrapper084c.exe

It still took me a long time to find, though. >_>

The site I got it from seems to be down now, but hopefully you should be able to find it somewhere else. :?

Thanks for the input V. I'll try that site again tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be up and I'll finally get GOTY to work like it should.

I DLed the program. Now I'm reinstalling UT just to be safe. Did you do anything else, or just install that program and you were golden?

EDIT:

Still doesn't work. It's running way too fast. The beginning video is like on crack. Let me know if you have any ideas.

So that wasn't too bad...turnout could have been better, but a good time nonetheless. Trouble is, for a game like UT, you really need at least four for a decent deathmatch, and six or more for a real CTF/Assault game. Still, most of us had a great time just smacking each other with rockets and globs of biojunk.

Anyway, on to next week. We'll take any suggestions you guys have for a new game, as long as it's free (or close enough), and can run on most home computers. Some also suggested we change the time to something more cooperative with certain schedules, and we'll be happy to accommodate.

Nice to see you all in the game.
