Its like if the Gamecube hadn't supported composite cables, only RF.

Actually, older versions of the Gamecube supported component cables.
Also, the "gaming in 3D" aspect is still just an unconfirmed rumor. But general consensus is that there's still something about Revolution that hasn't been revealed. People speculate that it's something that has to do with the way we see the video on the screen, but nobody really knows for sure yet.

Very, very different issues. RF and Composite are simply different ways at looking at standard def. Componant is used to view a different type of technology with HD. Different resolutions, vs same resolutions with rs and composite, 50% more scanlines, vs same. Very different issue.

...
I know.
I'm just saying Gamecube supported the most current video tech at the time, including composite and component (in some models). I don't see why the Rev wouldn't follow suit.

I don't either. But, they said it wouldn't support HD.

Suits me just fine, HD isn't exactly within my financial reach; just yet. I'd love to jump on board, but for me it's simply not feasible.
Though, I get the feeling the lack of HD for Rev was brought about by Nintendo themselves; surely due to the lackluster support for RGB output on the 'Cube.
...which didn't help considering (if I heard right) that Nintendo didn't grant any 3rd party liscences for companies to develop their own component cables for the 'Cube, and the original article could only be procured through their online store.
I dunno, seems like they don't believe in it yet *shrugs*

Good HDTVs can be bought pretty cheap if you shop around. I got a CRT 26 inch 16:9 720p Samsung WITH built-in HD tuner for around $500 at Best Buy.

Yeah I kept hearing some WIERD rumors about the Revolution and its audio/video as well.
The best of which involved a view that would allow you to play splitscreen multiplayer with a full screen for each person. Like it would do some kind of point of view thing which would allow both people to see a difference full screen on the same tv. Not only would it probably cause 50k seizures if it messed up one bit, but it probably also wouldn't work on a regular tv.

So I actually got my hands on a copy of Game Informer and I turn to Red Steel. My opinion? Looks like a PS2 game that's been cleaned up. The actual screens in print looks much worse than the scans online.
