Off Topic: Zephie would you know where to get .hack//sign music?
On Topic:

Is it just me or is FMA different from the other actoin animes in the essence that they dont have these laser blst super powers like Yu Yu hakusho and DBZ? They instead create things using scientific principles in order to kill the enemies or help an ally. Was this something really new to the anime franchise?

Actually, no. There have been a lot of action/fantasy anime that are like Fullmetal Alchemist in that aspect. I can't recall them all, but I know one of my favorites was Last EXILE. Sure, there are guns and fighting and stuff, but its all within the restrictions of the real-life based world that they created. In my personal opinion, all of Miyazaki's action anime movies have always been the best out of them all... But I'm a Studio Ghibli whore, so don't listen to me.

Just be selective of what you pick out for action and I'm sure you could find something worthwhile.

A Studio Ghibli whore? What is that, like, Totoro standing on a street corner with red lipstick and a tube top on? Disturbing. :x

Were you dissapointed with the Nausica anime? I liked it, but it was missing so much from the manga. I wish they would have made it a series instead of a movie.

As a matter of fact, I was going to write a review for the Nausicaa movie tomorrow morning and have it up by the afternoon (watch it several times tonight and get my feelings down on paper).

I will tell you one thing though: I haven't read the Nausicaa manga before, but now that you've mentioned that a lot of stuff has been missed (like any manga/series to movie adaption, of course), I will indeed go investigate and get my hands on it.

I loved the movie from the bottom of my heart. Again, I attest to the fact that I'm a Ghibli whore... I like all Studio Ghibli films from the bottom of my heart. Similar to a Keyfan who loves, adores, and worships (maybe not that far) anything created and animated by Key (the AIR series has converted many a people...).

Well theoreticly the stuff in DBZ is possible on a high magnitude basis. I watched bits of Last EXILE on Anime Unleashed but it got boring :/ most of it was talking and stuff like that. I know it builds the story but then again FMA has a pretty good story with action as well right?

Betterman was good because even tho it was scientific (how they killed the last bad guy), it was still pretty fun to watch with the action and the storyline.

YOU KNOW WHAT PISSES ME OFF!? IT WAS RIGHT BEFORE HTE LAST FIGHT IN YU YU HAKUSHO AND THEY STARTED THE ENTIRE SERIES OVER AGAIN!!!! So now im not watching it until it gets back into the current season.

And have you been watching Toonami lately? They are doing this little lost episode DBGT thingy. I think I know why a couple episodes were editted out..had some gay dude as the bad guy (gay groups probably protested their asses off) and the other was just soo damned stupid. Other than that I have no idea. Which leads me to my question about DBGT. You get these little DBZ fanboys that get pissed off at people for liking DBGT and they call them DBGT fanboys. They keep saying DBGT is fake now what the hell are they talking about?

Last EXILE was slow in the beginning, but it got really good. I even noted that fact in my Last EXILE review if its here on the fourms (it damn well better be, 'cause I don't have it anymore on my computer). I haven't watched Betterman, but I'll agree with Yuu Yuu Hakusho... I was actually so pissed at that I comitted the ultimate taboo in on my anime taboo list... I downloaded DVD rips of the DVDs and watched the outcome. Please don't follow my lead though; I still haven't forgiven myself and I'm still waiting for the TV show to catch up to where I last left off.

I've never liked the Gundam series all that much. In fact, the only three I've ever liked were Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, and 08th MS Team. In that order. Wing would have to place fourth if I really wanted a fouth spot... it didn't strike me as good as everyone said so I was majorly disappointed with it. But never the less, I thought all three sported very good storyline with a great balance of action and adventure. I particularly like/d the SEED sagas because of the deep morale values it placed on the fans, as well as the character development, emotion, and interaction.

Just between you and me, at the end of the latest episode of SEED Destiny, episode 22, I jumped out of my seat with tears streaming down my eyes, goosebumps crawling all over my skin, and screamed "FUCKING HELL YES!!" and was promtly scolded for being too loud -- my chair made a large crashing sound.

As for the last bit: If you know me, you know that I don't give a crap what's in an anime. I watch normal every day anime, I watch shounen-ai (boy-boy love) anime, I watch shoujo-ai (girl-girl love) anime, and I'll enjoy every single one of them with no biased nature -- as long as the story is good, I'll watch anything. Even hentai: As long as it contains some serious, non-idiotic plot, I'll watch it. Sure, why not?

I mean, you wouldn't know if you watched the English dub, but Cardcaptors (or Cardcaptor Sakura as I prefer) was loaded with same-sex relationships... Li liked Yukito (Julian), Yukito liked Touya (Tori), Tomoyo (Madison) liked Sakura... There was even some innuendo between Yue, Kero, and Clow Read (spelled Reed in English dub), but nothing solid. In the dub they even cut out five or more episodes (there are 70, but Nelvana cut it to 65). Thank God Pioneer/Geneon licensed and released the subtitled version and also the second movie, 'cause the show kicks some serious ass in my eyes.

I can't answer you, but one day I hope the companies, censorers, and politicians will realize that its a fucking "cartoon", leave it the the fuck alone!

Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't see the newest one that they're using... Sorry I couldn't get to you when I could -- actually I was so immersed in my latest PC game that I totally forgot about it.

Anyway, you got it now...

NOW IM PISSED!! I jujst got a little "Official" US Playstation Magazine for some reason (advertising) and I looke at what the demo disc has on it. It had like 4-5 games on it I wanted to know more about including FMA. I put it in and the sonovabitch doesnt work. I try 4 more times and it still doesnt work. I wipe it off with a part of my shirt and it gets to the menu screen. I go to the demos/videos section and get ready to play FMA. THE MOTHER FUCKER GOES BACK TO THE PS2 BROWSER SCREEN!! I tried to boot the demo disc up again and when it stalled at the Midway logo for the 3rd time i just took it out and threw it in the trash.

Looks like Ed is learning how to kill :D He said "Look like the only way to stop a killer is to think like one" He did the same partial alchemy that scar does...that WAS AWSOME! Hey Zephie your right...this stuff is getting dark as hell.

You ain't seen anything yet. The plot goes much deeper than you actually realize at this point... And it's rather sick too, now that I think of it. But nothing too entirely gut-wrenching.

We're approaching episode 25; only five more episodes to go... I watched episode 20 this Saturday. Things are finally heating up, and now you must prepare youself!
