How can I be a sir and sexaroid? *quirks eyebrow*
You know, speaking of violence, you think of all the violence on those older animes. The Japanese have watched far more violence than we have, but they have a much smaller amount of murders and violent crimes. Figure that one out.

Everything I learned came from reading banned books.

Japanese people in general, are more respectful of others. i can tell that simply by seeing reactions during live sporting events. American fans are loud and disrespectful, Japanese fans sit there and appreciate the entertainment.
I'd also bet that there's more of a trusting nature, at least compared to my place of residence. My city is so untrustworthy, we'd never have an Adrena-LAN, or any 24 hour gaming place, because people are so ignorant here. We don't even have an EB. i know, it's a freaking sin...

I think we take some freedoms too far. We are afraid of censorship of any type hindering our free speech without taking regard to what is "morally" right (I use morals lightly, because who really determines what is moral)
I don't think I am any different from playing the games that I did when I was a kid. Watching the cartoons I did. Hell, I am an MTV baby (meanin my crib was placed in front of MTV as a young child). Nothing bad has come from it (except a huge 80's music fixation)
Though, my parents were really active in my life and taught me lessons. Im not going to turn this into a whole breakdown of family values arguement, but I do believe that is where part of our problem lies.

Puppets, holding the scissors of freedom, are still powerless to cut the strings of opression. That is to say, once a puppet, always a puppet.
