I'm excited for the movie and all...but Doc Oc is not one of my favorite villians. I REALLY wanted to see Venom, but everyone's addressed the problems there...too complex back-story. And I'm guessing that, like in the comics, in Spiderman 3 Harry Osbourne is going to become the Green Goblin and blah blah blah.
The quickest way to a man's heart is through his sternum.
they can sew the seeds for Venom in part 2 if they want to. let the more A.D.D.-laden fans suffer if they don't 'get it'.VideoDrone wrote:I'm excited for the movie and all...but Doc Oc is not one of my favorite villians. american audiences can't handle many complex movies....the chick i went to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre with didn't even understand that....haven't asked her out since, for real.

Why thank you.Jayt wrote:wow! go Realm!
Lol. All in the context. I don't mind red and blue spandex on Tobey Maguire. But Hulk still makes me mad. I payed $5.50 of perfectly good money to go sit for a couple hours and blow chunks.Silvie wrote:Realm just doesn't want to admit his spandex fetish...
I don't know about in general, but I can sure think of a few specific examples. I know girls that still don't "get" Unbreakable. (one of my favorite movies)Jayt also wrote:american audiences can't handle many complex movies
*smacks head on table* Sil, anytime you wanna blow up the sun, go for it. I'll help.
I have spoken.
Unbreakable, Excellent movie.
I like complex movies, it makes me think, Even tho most people try not to it seems. But I must agree, most American people are to stupid to understand some movies, I remember coming out of a movie and some people said they did not get it.
And as I mentioned earlier in this topic, I think that the most likely Spiderman 3 movie villian would be Hobgoblin. In turn that would bring in King Pin. Venom would be the best tho. All are possible they may not even do Hobgoblin or Venom, they might not even make a third, who knows.

They can still do some good villans.
liiiike....
Kraven
HobGoblin
Rhino(i dunno, stupid people ruin movies...like bane)
Lizard
Electro
HydroMan
Sandman wouldn't be terrible
Boomerang(just kidding)
He could do the ol' bullseye/kingpin thing
They honestly could do green goblin again, but not so soon.
Vulture
Venom (they have to go to outer space though thats hard to work in)
They could skip straight to the team-ups. Like some Dare Devil Action or that Blade character. HULK.
They should never have any spider man alies. or it will end up like batman. with like three good guys, five bad guys and nothign really cool between them.
It owuld be interesting if they had spider-man involved with other parts of the marvel universe, such as mutants, or the sentinals, or the hulk.

you got a point q. i think spidy fans would love to see venom so much they wouldn't care if they did it that way.
in the movie it could like crash into a construction site or something. didn't venom work on a construction site? i don't remember.

i've been rapping for about seventeen years, okay. i don't write my stuff anymore, i just kick it from my head, you know what i'm saying, i can do that. no disrespect, but thats how i am.
Venom's host was another free-lance reporter named Eddie Brock. He didnt' liek peter parker, becouse he always got the spider-man pictures, and he didnt' like spider-man becouse odd things would always happen, like Eddie would get some killer shots, but a piece of debris would break the camera or something. he started to grow very very angry at spider-man and peter parker.
When he aquired the symbiote, he learned they were both the same person, and figured that it COULDN'T be a coincidence, and he figued they actually had it out for him. The costume he manifested was suposed to be a mirror for his hatred for spider-man/peter parker, and something that would scare the ever loving crap out of him.
They COULD bring venom in this way.
J.J.Jameson's son...his name escapes me, is in spider-man 2.
He is a pilot for NASA, and goes on some outerspace trips; during one of wich he becomse transformed into man-wolf. i dont' really know/remeber the deal with that though.
On his way back from an outer-space flight, he could easily pick up the symbiote, and crash land some where in manhattan(what are the odds of that?...honestly?). Spider-man can be bound to it. And hell, they could even have Eddie Brock on the site taking pictures, but J.J.Jameson dosent' want them becouse some how Peter Parker got pictures that were much better and closer.
One thing that I think would be a good idea though, is that venom does not appear in the same movie that peter aquires the symbiote. It would be too much plot. too cluttered, and turn into Batman and Robin(george Cloony one).
They could have him fight craven or something. For those you who dont' know Kraven, buried spider-man alive, and dressed up in the black costume, and took his place. I don't know/remeber for what resons though. He might have been hunting someone.
Then maybe at the end of the movie, they could have a little teaser of Eddie Brock getting his hands on the symbiote.
One thing that is kind of cool about venom is, he is one of the only two villans(carnage is the other) who know that spider-man even HAS a spider sense. Moreover, they are the only people who don't activate it.
Carnage, all though he is very cool, I don't think he is of quality enuff to hold up the villan role in a movie. He is crazy, but not that interesting. He would have to be a side villan. Like in all those Batman movies where they just kept stacking on the amount of villans in each movie.
They could put him in, if they do about 10 spiderman movies. And spider man has gotten the costume in one and fought venom in another. Then he needs to have done somethign differnt for a while, maybe one of the goblins, and a team up movie with Blade or something. Then Spider-man will need to do one of those uneasy alliances with Venom, to fight carnage.
But I dont' think good quality spider-man movies will last long enuff to get to carnage. The actors and director will get tired of it before then I'm sure, or it will have degraded in quality or something.

It saddens me but I agree with Cable, to have Spider Man get the black costume and then venom come into it could be really cluttered. i also very much want to see Carnage in the movies though. His insanity and love of killing make him one of my favorite villains. not to mention how awesome his powers would look on screen
