Yeah, but Actraiser 1 was hotter than Richie's future wife.

Other gems.....Castlevania 4, F-Zero, SSF2, Super Mario World(of course!), Starfox.

FF2, FF3(The BEST Final Fantasy ever!) and Chrono Trigga, foo.

Actraiser 1 was awesome, and to be honest, I'd like to see a sequel for it on the Wii. Could you imagine wtf they could impliment?

definetely....or Ty, how about this:

How about they make Kid Icarus an action/sim hybrid. We got the straight action(Galaxy) and the adventure(Twilight)....so why not make Kid Icarus in the Actraiser mold......eh, with EASIER bosses, hehe.

SNES games had dope soundtracks too....my fav was Spider-Man and XMen: Arcade's Revenge....most of the 8 songs were easily longer than 5 minutes(non-looping) and Castlevania 4. some sites may have the OST of both coughzopharcough.

SNES is way over-rated (I am so going to get flamed for saying that).

Vamp, I am becoming increasingly convinced that you actually have no opinions about anything at all, and simply contradict everything we say just because you hate everyone.

Honestly Q, I've tried like 3/4 of the games you've suggested in the past, and the inescapable conclusion for me is that SNES games just are over-rated. Games from the last and the current generation have been far, far better than any other that came before it, and I think people only like SNES for the nostalgic value (which is pretty pointless). Maybe I just have a great preference for cinematic games with deep, rich stories, but even "classics" like FF6 just feel hollow.

I am Locutus... of Borg. Resistance... is futile. Your life as it has been... is over. From this time forward... you will service... us.

I've played several old school games and loved them. I've also played several that I've hated. I don't have enough experience with an SNES to vouch one way or the other on how good the majority of the games are, but I do know from my experiences that Vamp's statement of nostalgia being the reason people like SNES games is flat out wrong. We're talkin' like...way wrong. I also know that he's lying when he says games from the last and current gen are better since I KNOW Vamp is an avid MGS2 fan, and that was 2 generations ago :P

HOWEVER...I'm fairly positive that Q's statement was so true that, as he clicked "Submit", the internet had to absorb all the truth in the world to put that post onto the internet. This temporarily caused everyone in the world to be incapable of telling the truth. Thus, because of this incident, if you spoke during this time period, you told a lie. Everyone, go apologize to your lovers for lying to them. If you were talking to them between 1 hour and 40 minutes ago and 1 hour and 20 minutes ago (yes...he absorbed all the world's truth for 20 fuckin' minutes).

...

That means NOW, God dammit.

Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed forum, Vamp would certainly want you to believe that SNES games are over-rated. And he makes a good case. Hell, I almost felt pity myself! But, ladies and gentlemen of this supposed forum, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this thread? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this thread! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a woman defending her fiance's argument, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're trying to make a decision, deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed forum, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must agree with Q! The defense rests.

So...you're saying Q's statement is obviously wrong, thus you're trying to defend it by not making sense? So You're on...whose side again?

Mine, as always - the side wanting to cause as much mischief as possible in the name of fun.

Besides, I was trying to draw attention to the fact that arguing about someone's opinion being different to yours is a bit pointless and doomed to failure from the start.

And... I love the Chewbacca Defense and wanted an excuse to use it.

Current Gen -> 360, PS3, high-end PC.
Last Gen -> DC, PS2 (MGS2), GCN, Xbox (MGS2), PSP, Wii

Yeah, I define generations by gaps of power (processor complexity, RAM quantity, etc... anything that gives developers more to work with in time/memory tradoff), and I might as well don my asbestos suit for that alone...

That explains your Air Force-ness, jbrown. I liked it a lot, but my Dad LOVED it. I loved the helicopter levels, even though they were controller-busting hard.

Vamp, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, just keep in mind that everyone in the industry generally divides generations by time-span, not power.
