Ooooook. Gotcha. I should've remembered saying that. That's fine.

Playing halo with a timer in a non-tournament situation is girlish.

Or maybe WE (impartial third parties) could vote for three maps and three weapon setups in a poll?

Would you really say that we're ... impartial?

Ok Jack how aobut this. Me versus you. I pick one level you pick the other. The last level will be dtermined by everyone else. I think that the weapons should be one sniper rifle, and one shotgun. Is that o.k.? Oh just one last thing. Grenades. Should we have unlimited, or a fixed amount. What do you think?

Custom weapons on every map.

Map selection is fine. You one, me one, third party one.

default weapons on every map.

First to 25 kills on each map.

No radar.

No respawn limit, no respawn growth, no kill penalty, no death bonus.

No time limit.

No unlimited grenades. Only what you can manage to pick up.

Shields at 100%.

No vehicles.

Infinite Lives.

No Boarding Action. There is a very cheap exploit on this level. If you pick it, I will use it.

Those are all of the rules I can think of right now. Those are standard deathmatch rules for Halo. We use them at every tourney for Wichita Halo.

*agrees with Jack*

(slightly off topic) Is there a CAL_Assault mode for Xbox Halo? It's the CPL PC-Halo Team Tournament standard. Just wondering.

Agreed. Also, I agree with the no boarding action. I hate that damn level. I will however pick my favorite. Sidewinder. I dont care what yours is as long as it's not blood gultch. But if you choose it, i have no problem it's your choice.

I, the one and only Realm wrote:The loser has to do something embarrassing! Like sing "I'm a Little Teapot" with his pants down or something.
Any chance of this happening?

What's the exploit on boarding action? I know about most of the hard to get to sniping nests, but no exploits. MUST KNOW!

Well, if you're playing a slayer game, you can basically keep jumping off the map and never lose a life. Basically, if you're lucky enough to kill your opponent on your way down, you can kill him, and he has to hit you as you're falling down the middle of boarding action. Happened to some friends of mine at a tournament once. It was real chicken-shit stuff.

Did they fix it for Halo-PC? (hate that map so I always avoid it online)

Jack, I'm not a huge fan of Halo multiplayer but I do play from time to time. I'm curious as to how some players can live for such an extended period of time after being shot over and over and over again? To give you an example....I was playing CTF/BG with a friend of mine. One of the opposing team's player was near our base. My team member went through at least 5 or 6 rounds, and I went through at least 5 myself yet he didnt die. How is that possible? I made it a point to aim as closely to his head as possible yet he would not die. There was no health or overshield available in the area he was standing. Is there some trick I am missing?

My guess would be where you shot him on his body. I was playing against my roomie yesterday, and he had the same problem killing me. I would do headshots, hit him 2-3 times, and he'd be on the ground. He on the other hand didn't realize that shooting me in the thigh isn't as effective as headshots, so I won. I could be wrong, I often am.

Holy Hell! Daysha's back! Welcom back girl! Shields recharging throws a whole weirdness into the mix as well. Your shields may be halfway down, your opponents may be all the way down and then he gets enough of a break to let them recharge, comes back out and whoops your ass.
