This is merely funny because it's not even beginning to describe exactly how monstrous the amount of advertising being put into that game is. Ridiculous...Looks like MS spent more money advertising it than they hope they can get out of Bungie's total sales.

It's not ridiculous; they know perfectly well how much the game will make, and they're not overstepping their bounds. MS has been doing business too long to make stupid mistakes like that.
And the game is being advertised to let everyone know it's coming out NOW. People like us already knew because we keep up on that sort of thing, but the average Joe Blow probably doesn't realize the game is imminent until he sees all the ads everywhere.
