I have played the PSP, and it is...handheld sex. Assuming you like sex. Otherwise it's hyper condensed chocolate. Like...a chocolate orgasm black hole. So dense with ecstacy none will escape.

Someone give me a million dollars.

I got mine at midnight last night. (It sucks that our store doesn't let employees get stuff early.)

I played with it using different functions for over two hours last night ON THE RESIDUAL CHARGE. I just took the battery out of the box, put it in the PSP and played UMD music, UMD movies, movies and music downloaded to the PSP from my computer, and some pretty kick-ass games. I used it for over two hours before the battery was completely exhausted.

When I started it up the battery indicator was saying I was low on battery power and it still lasted over two hours more.

The screen makes me weep openly with joy.

And the square button works perfectly.

All I have to say to Sony-bashers is this: Nintendo has been officially pwnd.

:doublefisted: Image

Dance, fat boy!

I still think that it's a waste of money.

Verence, you have been pwnd cause you bought one. You will soon find the flaws as the months go by, it shall fuck up. It was made by Sony. Good luck with that.

i want to play one, but there is no way i'm buying one yet. the selection of titles is too few. i know people say this about the ds, but at least the ds lets you play gba titles. maybe when it drops in price i'll buy one, but with play-yan coming state side i don't really need to have a psp to play movies and music. though that screen is nice...

I've had my PS2 since launch. I've had my PS1 since launch. They both still work perfectly on all games and the PS2 still play DVDs perfectly. I know some people have had bad luck with Sony, but I haven't.

And yet my copy of Resident Evil 4 crashes regularly on the much-lauded Gamecube. The lense is clean, the game disc is flawless. So, as you can see, I personally have more reason to doubt Nindendo than I do Sony.

It comes down to this, I have a PSP and I'm happy with it. Even if it malfuctions and I have to exchange it for another PSP I'll still be happy. There is nothing you can say to make me less happy with it.

So bite me.

I too have had PS2 since launch, never a problem. I <3 sony, in fact I was talking with Richie today, and if I had to pick only one console, it'd be my trusty PS2. /sigh.

I think I'm a little bit of a pussy, I like them all.

You'd have to feel that way after spending THAT much on a fucking handheld. I'm sorry, but I HAVE had Sony problems with my PS2 and with game delays, *cough* *cough* GT4 *cough*. I dont see any game coming out for the PSP that even makes me consider selling a lung to buy one. I'll stick to what I got, and use the 200+ bucks on new games for what I already pwn.

Verence, no offense ment here, but I think you take our Show bashing too seriously. Is the PSP perfect? Not in my opinion. Is it as bad as we make it out to be? Of course not.

I am NOT a fan of hand helds.
I look at them and say "well, i can play better games at home."

With the DS(and lesser extent, GBA), I could say "nice exclusives, but still not my cup of tea"

Now with the PSP, I'm saying to myself "Well, I can play the same damned games on my PS2."

Nintendo has a huge marketshare of handhelds, one that won't be surpassed overnight, if ever. No one has been pwned, because high end graphics don't make a system.

Of course high end graphics arent everything but they ARE something (If the next GTA game for PS3 is 16-bit im gonna be pissed :P) I am looking at the fact that there was no way that when the PS2 FIRST came out we could play friggin Metroid Prime on a handheld.

I am still curious about the defaults with one of the buttons because as little as it may sound it is a physical defect. Almost as bad as the defect with the PS2s that got the Disc Read Error, but onl not to the extent to the where the games dont work at all. (Should we start calling it DRE?)

I dont mean to sound like a graphics whore but the only games for a GBA I would like is Metroid (Zero Mission was sweet) and Megaman...maybe an FF game or that one strategy/rpg called err uh...I forget but you had a girl riding a flying horse around and you were this sorta indian tribe girl who travels to the kingdom and turns out to be heir to the throne...o hell I cant remember the name. Other than that I couldnt play them because they would feel too outdated.

well Morpheus, Dreamcast had great graphics too.....and 3DO as well...Neo Geo. Handhelds: Lynx and Game Gear had graphic power over the original GB and arguably GBC. Neo Geo Pocket had it over the other handhelds.

So go ahead and be a graphics whore, the brothel usually doesn't stay open too long.

Hey, I could quote some of the things you (Weez) have said about the Xbox that are equally if not more mean.

C'mon, everyone here is a "this" fanboy or a "that" whore. Why should anyone be bashed for that?

And Lumines rocks, as Jack said on the main page.

I think there is a difference between preference and fanboyage. Fanboyage is when you root for once console over another. Fanboyage is saying that one company pwned another. Preference is liking a game better on one system because of features. Preference is going by games and not systems. I tend to prefer Nintendo-style games, but love MGS (gave it game of the year if you remember,) love GT4, and love many PS1/2 RPGs. The psp had many flaws, and that's funny, so we made fun.

The PSP is good, but a bit too pricey for me to consider getting. Lumines looks hotter than shit, and makes me crave one. I'll get one eventually.

Now, if news came out about a defective DS pixel/button/vagina then I would be the first to tease about it. Until that happens for either system, I think the competition is good.

The only thing that would have a defective vagina is weezer's little nintendo fantasy.
