EDITED
And thus is the end of my posts... The 50th episode is unnamed(JP)/"Laws and Promises"(US). Anything I say from here on is meaningless.
Look forward to it!

I would like to note, that this is probably the biggest non-postwhoring thread EVER on BMX.com.
I guess only the anime crew can stay on track for so long...

A 15 pages on non-post whoring. We feel proud of ourselves. I sure do.
Let's just hope another series replaces Fullmetal Alchemist that can give as much pleasure as it has...
I vote for the Full Metal Panic! series.

Zephie, you bastard. Verence, Zephie told me that yesterday's episode was hte 50th one and when it ended like that I was like "WHAT THE FLIPPIN FUCK!?" Luckily Zephie cleared it up and told me it was only episode 49. So...how is Ed gonna get out of THIS one? Stay tuned... (even if it's FMA I don't like the cliffhanger XD)
Though that cleared up a LOT. I just assumed the energy came from themselves or the energy contained within the matter that they transmuted. I mean ALL matter has energy inside it, just not enough for us to notice unless it's a lot and it releases enough of it to burn us. It was either in the surrounding matter or in themselves, like when Ed was trying out to become a State Alchemist, and that one dude made that huge tower, but ran out of energy.

Saturday's ep WAS the 50th, the ep airing on the 18th will be the 51st.
According to [adult swim] at least.
I'm still a bit confused about the last ep though. I mean, are there just the two worlds and no others?

Umm Verence...Zephie told me himself that that was only episode 49. 51 will just be a bonus recap of everything that's happened. And 50 will be the true final episode.

I'm pretty sure FMA is only 50 episodes. Now, I remind everyone like I did at the start of all this that I haven't watched FMA since it stopped airing in Japan in 2003... I could be wrong. I'm just too lazy to check.
But there IS a recap episode that's counted as an actual episode -- that's enough to fuck everyone up. The same thing happened with Gundam SEED Destiny: There was an episode after episode 15 that people thought was episdoe 16 but was really an intermission that wasn't counted, and it screwed with people's brains for a long while.
EDIT: Curiosity got the best of me: Verence is right. There are 51 total REAL episodes. I think I got fucked up because the last episode is unnamed in the Japanese version. The US version has it titled as "Laws and Promises".

Lmao. I'm not infoulable, and I don't pretend to be unless it's to someone who thinks he is. Congrats, Verence.

Hmm, ok, done watching the movie.
It was good, to be sure, but not as awesome as the series.
Has that OVA been aired/fansubbed yet?
