That was kinda cool, the stuff Mustang said when he had finally cornered Ed and Al by the river. I was sort of starting to dislike him again up until that point.

Let me just say that the opening and ending that's now used for FMA is actually episode correct -- they were the ones used for the final episodes. They're also my favorites. :)

This episode is probably one of my favorites -- not only are there amazingly weird faces and surprised looks. Not only is it practically the last, truly humorus episode left. We now also FINALLY get to see Ed and Al's father!! Yay~! He's a fucking bad ass. And who is, if you didn't notice, played by Scott McNeil (more popularly known as Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing and Piccolo from Dragonball Z).

I've been waiting for this episode for a long time: I told you this shit was gonna be fucking delicious. The episodes only get better! WHOO HAAA!

I'm excited, if you couldn't tell. I may not like FUNimation, but they certainly did choose a very good voice cast and, as always, Justin Cook is an absolutely wonderful voice director. For those of you who don't know who that is, he's one of the best voice directors and actors in FUNimation. You'll probably recognize him best as the voice of Yuusuke Urameshi from Yuu Yuu Hakusho; he played Russell Tringham here in Fullmetal Alchemist.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

That episode confused, horrified, and delighted me!

...

Ed digging up Trisha's remains!

Damn! :x

...

If FMA isn't the best anime ever then its damn close, I'm serious.

I, and a lot of other people, happen to agree that Fullmetal Alchemist is indeed an instant classic. It literally defined a whole new genre of anime, and even though FUNimation is recieving my money, I am proud to have it in my DVD collection. Now knowing how much it costs to license a rather popular anime, I feel better about buying the DVDs (for something like Fullmetal Alchemist, around $700,000 plus a percentage of products sold).

We can only hope that more anime of similar quality and depth will follow in its considerable wake.

What is it, six more eps? I can't wait to see the movie!

Err...this is interesting. The lady is actually dante who is now dead, who is now walking around in another lady's body, who is the leader of all the Homonculi, who is about to get her ass beat by Ed's dad who probably tried to give himself immortality?

Lust is screwed, Gluttony is a puss, Pride road away on his high horse, Envy is off singing "Looks Just Like a Lady" somewhere, Greed is dead, Wrath is contemplating his revenge, and Sloth is just slinking along about to get her butt handed to her by Ed. Ok.

Oh and I take it homunculi souls were originally worshipped as gods?

Hmm, I can't really say for sure yet. I didn't get a clear idea of what was worshipped at that abandoned church. But I think it will be explained. At least somewhat.

I'm very sorry to say that... we knew it would happen. Please tell me you were expecting it? I sure as hell was, but I thought it would be only two episodes to the end... They caught me by surprise.

Move to Japan; this kind of bullshit doesn't happen.

Yeah, I'd like to. I wonder if I learned Japanese well enough if I might be able to make a living teaching english. Hopefully the job market for that isn't flooded. I guess I'd do research about it before actually buying a plane ticket.

...

I think I'd have to buff up on my english too. :P

Anyway, I was expecting a cliffhanger like that, but I foolishly hoped that this time would be different.

Can we say, "Mother fucking awesome shit!"? Thought so... I have nothing to say: The episode speaks for itself.

The next episode is episode 46: "Human Transmutation" (US & JP). It's also the last new episode Cartoon Network will air before it begins repeating from the middle of the series.

Enjoy!

Ed is building a bit of a collection. He won't be able to get remains for all of them though, I wonder how he'll handle it.

The episodes are getting almost painfully awesome at this point. :x

As I've told Typheus, I'll be glad to tell anyone that wants it what happens next if you impatient for the episodes to finish sometime in the next half a year. PM me. :)

EDIT: February 18th, 2006: Episode 47 "Sealing the Homunculus"(US)/"Homunculus Seal"(JP). Airs 12 AM; Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block as usual. Such is my inside source. However, I haven't confirmed that episode 48 will be aired though.

How about "Hell no"?

No way am I spoiling anything for myself. :P

And whoever told you about the Feb 18th episode was RIGHT! It is indeed "Sealing the Homunculus"! I guess they'll be alternating between new eps and old eps until the end? :?

Ed kills all of the homonculi and then smokes a cigarette while doing target practice with their leader's body.

He then proceeds to grant one wish before being sent into the seven magic dragon balls.

Then after someone rubs the balls he appears as a genie and grants THREE wishes. One to end world hunger, one to bring world peace, one to get himself out of those damn balls.

Then he uses the philosopher stone to bring back everyone that died. Then he goes and finds Wrath (whom earlier he said "I'll be back") and rips his limbs from him saying "I told you I'd be back, bitch!"

Then he has a drink with his girlfriend, whom is also his automail mechanic, and everyone including his now human brother live happily ever after.
