hey guess what i finally got a chance to crush my friend today, see we went to gamestop cause we were waiting for the mario kart tourney to start, and they had soulcaliber loaded in the xbox so he was like "wanna play" and i was like "umm k'' (keepin mind i dont own an xbox)so first round was warm up so he let me have 200% life and i was maxi, him asteroth and i got beat sad huh?
then he picked talim his best char and i was taki, keep in mind the matches are 5 rounds and im at normal life now, i fucking annialated him which lowered his self confidence then he tried cassandra on me i was mistsurugi still no win for him, then we did yun sung and voldo, i lost as voldo, and then we did best chars again i won a taki again! then he was yun sung me rapheal beat him with ring out 4 times lol, then i was spawn forgot who he was but still beat him, i dont even own xbox version, then i was like "we gotta leave" and he was "like one more game" so because i knew he wouldnt leave without beating me i lost with xaighua against necrid.
we were both hungry after that so we went to burger king right by there and i got one of those birthday hats and wrote drift king on it and wore it to the mariokart tourney , i got 5th which was ok considering the first 2 were game cube fanboys and and been practicing constantely!!!
but they didnt have a cool hat like me DID THEY!!!

To that I say, awesome! Man, I was scoping the latest Mario Cart out at Best Buy and I don't see any slowness to it like was mentioned in some previews. I may have to go out and get that.

As for you SC2 domination, that's awesome! I'd like to think that some of the stuff I told you helped, did it? Or did you just own him this time! I would guess that playing on Xbox or PS2 when you learn on the cube can be a little hard. I mean, with GC, you gotta get used to the weird button shapes, and the fact that guard and a-attack are switched. Likewise, you probably had to get used to those being switched for you on the Xbox version.

I'm still looking for some decent comp here in Santa Fe. Hardcore fighting game players are hard to come by. Casual fighting game fans are there, but they're not much of a match for me. Can't wait to get back to Lawrence on Jan. 17th and hook up with some of my friends at AdrenaLAN for some hours of SC2 madness. I hope to own them even more at our next meeting.

i heard that the best strategy for mario cart is to try and stay back to like 3rd, till the last lap. from what i hear people in the lower ranks get better items more often and the person that is always leading ends up owned, even with a 2 minute head start.

YES MASTER your kung fu is as strong as your teachings
ya what you said in previous post helped a little, along the lines of "hey web is pretty good cause he practices so if i practice then maybe..."
plus he hadnt played in a while b/c he got cocky so that was his downfall.

So anyone still playing this spectacular title? I'm still all about this game. I got myself a custom arcade stick with all the characters on the cover. It's pretty nice, has a real arcade stick, real arcade parts, it's quite an accesory.

I've got all kinds of new strats and combos if anyone's still looking for some advice?

I can help with:

Talim
Cass
Mitsu
Xianghua
Nightmare
Raph
Yoshi
Ivy
Mina

a little with.....
Taki
Cervy
Yun

All you have to do is ask........

I do, but I don't have enough time to play video games, between work, school, and so on. I always try to put a few rounds in at night before Family Guy. :)
