PC: ...Leave me alone.
Mac: Wha'cha playin' there?
PC: Oblivion.
Mac: Can I play?
PC: No.
Mac: Why not?

The PC is playing Oblivion? I think he's the one shooting himself.

Hey, a pretty average computer can play Oblivion perfectly...on low settings...
It really isn't that hard to meat minimum requirements. It is for me though since our processor isn't as fast as it's supposed to be though.

... Mericks you've got it wrong, eXistence thinks oblivion is a pile of shit, which is why he said the PC is shooting himself.

Well that was my 1st thought too, but then I started thinking back to hearing that comment made about Oblivion before it came out too, so then I got confused and just assumed eX would be clever enough to say the same thing.
Guess I was wrong.

PCs have the advantage for games, no doubt. Problem is, I play all my games on consoles. Macs do everything else better (especially the creative arts of film and music which is what I do.)
If you can't live without PC games, do not get a Mac. If you can, then you will be much happier. This whole server crash has reminded me of why I switched to Mac in the first place.

I can't live without TES games on PC. I tried the console versions of them but...eh...They didn't make me feel as happy on the inside that way... I personally like this situation I'm in with a PC as my home computer and a Mac as my laptop, seeing as I spend a lot of time in my basement around all my games, I spend much more time with my Mac.
As for film or music editing of any kind. Well, videos I tend to edit just about as easily on either 1, seeing as a few years back I spent a shitload of time making videos on Windows Movie Maker. In my year with editting films with iMovie...it's about as easy. Took me a bit longer to figure 1 or 2 things out in iMovie but that was just because I had to get used to a different format. Ultimately the iMovie layout and options are probably better though. I haven't gotten as deeply involved with it yet so I can't give a proper opinion, so I'm basing off my 1st impressions of both.
As for any kind of audio shit, Macs are better. Hands down.
Oh yeah, and if for nothing else, get a Mac for the fact that it's a shitload safer to go online with. I don't even get on browsers with my PC unless I have to since there's so many viruses to worry about. As for Macs, however, there's a significantly lower amount of viruses. I don't really need worry about viruses too much though since I typically visit the same sites constantly, and they're all fairly safe. Every now and then I'll wander off the beaten trail and find something else though, which is where the virus issue is deciding.

TES games all rule with violence and authority.
And the best way to play them is always on PC, mostly 'cause of the awesome tweaks and user-created content you can always download for free (aw yeah).

So...mother...fucking...true...
*sniff* Brings a tear to my eye. Btw, my favorite mod for Oblivion right now is a really small one, unexpectedly. The Dark Brotherhood Mask. It puts that mask you see in the Dark Brotherhood uniform concept art. It makes you look badass. Not to mention it makes my character look more like a ninja.
