See, that's what I'm talkin about. I'm sure there's more than enough gamers to go around just at KU. Advertising people. Somebody run off some cool flyers and put them up all over. You're bound to pick up some new listeners and gamers. Or just try a tournament and advertise for that and plug your site.

Personally, I thought it to be hilarious.
I'm sure it's funny, God knows I love a good joke, but I'm too pissed to enjoy it.
I didn't say it was shit, I simply made a joke about the relatively slow play control compared to other fighting games. Or am I no longer entitled to my own opinion anymore? Break, you always say that these forums are about free speech and that you won't censor anything. Well, that's just what you did. You didn't agree with my opinion so you fucking changed it because you thought it would be funny. That's pretty fucking childish. As long as I've known you, man, you've never pissed me off, but now you gone and done it. Even the field drum-playing while I was on the phone was nothing compared to this.
Seems like I'm getting nothing but abuse these days. All these jokes and insults at my expense, both on the show and on here. I usually don't mind being the butt of jokes, especially if they're funny, but there's always a barrier that shouldn't be crossed, and when my friends cross that barrier more than the people who don't like me, it makes me wonder what's wrong with this picture.
Pardon the rant, all... I just don't like it when my feelings get hurt. Who does, eh?

Since I'm the new guy, I'll be staying out of this one. So do you guys think you'll take on some advertising? Or do you want to wait a while to find more people to game? Print up some flyers and I'll put some up around when I get there, just to start you guys off. How about that? Oh yeah, I'll be there next weekend.

Believe me, break and I are gonna be advertising a lot on campus this year. Especially after next weekend.
Just a question, though...anyone else here think that Chris Moore (the guy that did the reviews for Jayplay last year) is a fucking moron that wouldn't know a good game if it bit him on the ass? I mean seriously, this guy gave Zone of the Enders 2nd runner a better score than Zelda: TWW, and NBA Street Vol. 2....and he gave NCAA March Madness 2003 an A just because Drew Gooden was on the cover. I guess he didn't play it, because the game was awful...Sega's NCAA College Basketball 2K3 was about 40 times better, and it had online play.

That sounds cool. I really like Lawrence and my lady likes it too. If the opportunity presents itself, we may end up moving back there. There may be no SC2 scene now, but with the popularity of this one, I think it's going to pick up big time.
The only thing is you're going to have a ton of newbies thinking they're awesome at the game and not have a clue how deep that game truly is. But hey, you get those with a lot of games right?

Chris Moore should be punished by heaven for his transgressions.

As for reviews, I never trust the opinion of just one person. I'm sure you guys don't either. Don't think I really played any of the games mentioned. As informed gamers tho, you guys know what's best from experience, so that guys reviews shouldn't really be an issue, right?

That's true, but the fact that other people at KU actually read his reviews and think that they are "legit" is extremely infuriating to me. Break actually took a class with the guy, and from what he told me, the guy sounds like he's oblivious when it comes to games. I just want the people to read reviews from someone that has actually played videogames before, not a guy that sees a FMV and thinks it's the coolest thing ever (ZOE2 review).
Now I'm not saying that I think we should do it, but I think that someone else should do the reviews, because this guy currently blows.

Yeah, I share Jack's sentiment exactly for exactly the same reasons.

Sorry for changing your post man, I didn't think you'd mind. I thought you'd know it was just a joke. I did not change your post because I disagreed with you, or for any love of Tekken. I like Tekken all right, but really don't care if anyone does or doesn't like it. I just thought you'd find some humor in it. Rather surprises me that you'd think that; if I was going to change someone's posts because I disagreed with them, I would have done it in the Mac Vs. PC debate. I thought you'd be able to take this joke ok, but, since it did make you fly off the handle I will offer some conciliation; G5's are sexy. There, that's something you don't get everyday. Hopefully this brings at least a small smile to your face.
Tournaments...Hell yes. And Jack and I will advertise hardcore. I've just been so busy lately, that I've just had time to do the show and some other small things around here. Looks like things should be returning to normal fairly soon. Then we shall push it hardcore. BTW, nice to meet you Web, and I hope to see you around Lawrence.
Yeah, I don't have anything against Chris Moore; he's just kinda ignorant when it comes to games, and he is the Kansan's writer on the subject. Just a little irritating I guess.

Yeah, I did overreact some. I guess post-changing is just one of my buttons that sets me off. I have some odd buttons, now that I think about it. Sorry for flying off the handle... Maybe losing one of my jobs has something to do with it... :^T I'll watch my temper. And all is forgiven, I'm even smiling and shit.
And I guess I should be specific; I'm a lot more pissed at the Kansan for keeping him around when there's so many better people around that could do it. Hell, I'm not a journalist and I could probably write a more accurate article than he could.

Nice to meet you too BreakMan! Just to let y'all know, I'll be in Lawrence this coming weekend. Probably Thursday night, so maybe some time on Friday or Sunday, since my wedding's on Saturday. I know Jack and his partner will be in Seattle, but if anyone else wants to get some SC2 in with me, let me know.
As for that reviewer for KU, I see your point now. Nothing like some sorry, misleading reviews being passed off as some legit stuff. Now that I know the situation, I for sure share your sentiments. You just have to hope that there's some informed gamers at KU who are spreading the true word on games.

Dude, I'm all up for some SC2 action. You're more than welcome at my place on Friday (Sunday I work). Hell, we could just have an SC2 party at my place. I got some sweet new furniture and a brand-new 27" TV, and if anyone's got any GC composite cables, all the better (and any alternative GC controllers for that matter). All are invited; we'll just make it an all day Friday come-and-go as you please thing. Reply if you're interested.

I'll probably bring my Dual Shock adapters, you guys alright with that? Should be some good SC2 games, come and go as you please, sounds like people will be playing all day. Just e-mail me the directions and we'll be all set.
