If I didn't have aceess to easily pirate-able games/movie/music I would do one of two things:

1. Try harder to get pirated stuff..
2. Do something else..

Notice there is no option #3 saying 'Buy it'. It all boils down to the fact that I can't spend money I dont have.. Also, I don't loose any sleep at night about how Im ripping off the artists, etc.. etc.. I know for a fact that John Romero lives in a Mansion and has a Fararri and a HumVee with a DVD player and Dolby 6.1 surround in it.[/quote]

The main problem with piracy is that it knocks sales of the product, which makes the companies not release a similar game, or spend less on production of the next game. When you steal a game, it hurts the industry. It comes down to which games sell, and which don't, not which games are the best and get downloaded the most.

Companies spend millions of $$'s on a game, and then someone downloads it free. I don't know how that could possibly not hurt the industry.

Well, Im sure piracy as a whole is hurting the industry, but I keep telling myself this:

Im not really robbing them of sales, becasue I wouldn't buy this game anyway.
