The good news is that the consoles are no longer a matter of price, but a matter of preference.

No.
"Terra Soft Solutions announced they will release the Linux OS Yellow Dog Linux v5.0 for PlayStation 3 in mid-November. Yellow Dog Linux v5.0 is based on Fedora Core 5, which has a single click installer."
Awesome!

Is this confirmed for US release? Because Linux came out for PS2 but it was only in Europe...
Fucking fanboys.

You could order PS2 Linux over the internet for NTSC U/C PS2s via Sony's website, so yes it was available in the USA.
Word is that it'll come preinstalled on the hard drives, but I find that unlikely. I'd imagine either it'd be available for download with a specific digital signature to remove possibilities of an exploit, or you'll be able to get a DVD of it for cheap (this is Linux after all, the only costs associated with it should be manufacturing and distribution).

Genji looks amazing. The first game was so underrated it's sad. What a masterpiece it was.

Being quick to dismiss something because of the company is also a fanboy thing to do. Just ask Weezer. Who are you to wave your finger?

Hey, I'm TRYING. I don't always succeed. And I wasn't dismissing it because of the company, I was dismissing it because I honestly thought it was Europe only.

Looks like Resistance might finally get me off of Halo 2 (maybe).
40 players, clans, and stats/levels.
Here's hoping it's awesome...

Newest stuff:

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/740/740597p1.html
They're going to pack the Blu-ray edition of Talladega Nights in the first 500,000 PS3 systems. (Lawl)
There's also some stuff about microtransactions and streaming media from your PS3 to your PSP.
And one more thing about the PS3/360 price difference:
We forgot to add on the wireless network adapter to the 360, that's another $100.

I'm just glad the games are 59.99 like I had said over and over they would be. Getting proven wrong sucks.

The 15 people who get a PS3 at launch should be very happy. I am excited for next year when I get one. Hopefully a price drop, but probably not. Either way mid to late next year I'll get it for exclusives. Right now, that launch list has way too many multi-console releases that I'll be picking up for the 360. Oh, and it won't matter if the PS3 online sucks or is awesome, you'll hear the same thing come out of a Sony fanboys mouth:
"It's AWESOMEEE!!!!!!"

I'm with Atticus, I'll get my PS3 next year. Just like I did with the 360. There are a lot of good 360 games coming. I can't wait.

I'll be getting a PS3 next year too. The Wii as well. But only because I don't have any money. >_>
On another subject, guess who is voicing Nero in DMC4?
No, not Jack Palance. He's dead, stupid.
No, its Johnny Yong-Bosch. One of my favorite voice actors, english voice of Vash the Stampede, and all-around nice guy.
