The green ranger was never one of my favorites. I was always a red ranger fan. Jason kicked ass. And Mecha, we loved the show when we were young, yes, but it's hard not to look back and enjoy what we watched during our youth.
Original Power Rangers pwnd my childhood.

I was just looking at what the original power rangers are doing these days and I came across something that really sucks. Thuy Trang, who played Trini the yellow ranger, was killed in a car accident on September 3, 2001. They said the reason it was kept on the down low was because after September 11th, it was totally forgotten about. Sad shit for us old Power Ranger fans. Keep the old school alive and keep watching.
Oh, and all the other rangers are pretty much doing REALLY sad odd jobs. 3 are involved with teaching karate or dance.

She played Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger, on the original cast of the TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Trang was on the show for two seasons. She left the show along with Austin St. John and Walter Emmanuel Jones because of pay reasons and was replaced by Yellow Ranger #2, Karan Ashley. She also appeared in the movies: The Crow: City of Angels, Spy Hard, and was set to appear in Cyberstrike, which never entered production.
Trang died in a car accident on September 3, 2001, in San Francisco. She was a passenger on Interstate Highway 5 between San Francisco and Los Angeles when the vehicle she was riding in lost control. Also injured in the accident was fellow Vietnamese actor Dustin Nguyen's wife, Angela Rockwood-Nguyen (a former actress/model), who was a passenger in the vehicle. Rockwood-Nguyen survived despite not wearing a seat belt; as a result, however, she is now quadriplegic. Trang died upon impact. Her Power Rangers co-stars David Yost and Amy Jo Johnson attended the funeral, held on September 10 at the Peek Family Funeral Home in Westminster, California. Saban dedicated a Power Rangers: Time Force episode in her memory.

here we go....
Power Rangers was(and always will be) a live action 'rip off' of the anime Voltron, which debuted in 1983-4. I have very fond memories of the show from my childhood, and it was simply better.
save your flames, there's enough 'net' tough guys stroking themselves on bmx boards without you trying to gain a pair.
i feel bad for the family of the original Yellow Ranger, but i have stated this opinion LONG before her unfortunate news broke. that's the last time i'll address you until i receive an apology for your rudeness.

and to be honest, an obituary column is not really the place for you to talk about who's better.....give the man his peace and call it a day.
Maybe you should listen to your own advice there Jay.

nah, Atticus, copy and pasting isn't really serving much of an argument. This thread was about the validity of the PR show, not Thuy's obituary.
That's the diff between that thread(R.I.P. Richard Pryor) and THIS thread.
but whatever, it's the in-thing, join the wagon.
