How can you fault the Xbox for Microsoft's past anti-trust problems with Internet Explorer? The two are completely unrelated products, run by seperate units within Microsoft. Microsoft's entry into the console market has been 100% fair and respectable. When my Walkman eats a cassette, I don't get mad at a PS2. Your argument does not hold water.

I also find it amusing that you consider MS evil for their IE Anti-Trust problems, when your beloved Nintendo has been found guilty of Anti-Trust practices WITH THIER GAME CONSOLE!!!

And just to be clear, I agree that Xbox has the best hardware coupled with the weakest game library - I'm not a 100% MS Fan Boy. I just think people should keep their console bashing based in reality.

I wasn't trying to bash the box, at all. In fact, I was trying to list its good points, and the possibility that it would be one of the two consoles remaining in the race. As for the comment about the IE thing, I was just stating my Xbox prejudices I had in the beginning. Microsoft is fine with me as long as they don't go around buying all the companies up. Which they really haven't. The bought Rare, and Nintendo let them go in the first place. And, thankfully, they bought Bungie so they can continue to bring us games. Thus far, there really isn't a reason to not like them in this industry. And like anyone with a sort of prejudice, it takes a bit to get over it.

As for my love for Nintendo... I've always liked Nintendo games the best, just out of my taste. But, I did a lot of research about the Video Game industry, and especially the crash of 1983. After reading all the things they did to bring back gaming to the States, I couldn't help but have respect for them. If it wasn't for them, there would not be gaming in the states. Everyone else was thinking that gaming was dead. I'm not going to go through all the details, but they went through a lot of stuff to resurrect gaming.

Now, obviously, they are a company and they want to make money. But, they also have artists that do what they do because they love it. One thing that I've realized about the Xbox is that I may not like it as a whole; but there are some elements about it that are nice. Xbox live is great (been playing CapcomVsSnk2 online.) It also has Bungie and Smilebit. The Xbox is definately a viable system, its simply my third choice console.

I'm trying to get rid of all my bias and just see games for games so I can judge them accurately. And I think you'll see this tomorrow when I talk about Capcom Vs. Snk2. It is a lot of fun.

Sorry if I gave off the wrong impression, but any bashing of the box will go on in the Xbox bashing forum.

I would love it if it wasn't bigger then a VCR and if the controllers could actually fit within 2 hands. Its got the power but it is not a pretty machine to look at, lets be honest. I'm hoping Xbox-2 will get a new look.

The S controller is only good after you play with it for a long time. It felt very unconfortable to me for a very long time, and still feels worse than the other two for me.

I prefer the Ps2 and GCN's controllers hands down.

ah hell, might as well throw in my two cents. i dislike the playstation controller. call me weird, but i do. i've disliked it for as long as playstation has existed. GC is nice, no probs there, and i have a lot of love for the ol' 64 controller. as for xbox, i prefer the original. again, call me weird, but it just seems more comfortable to me than the S.

Xbox hmm im not a fan of $microsoft$ except for Windows XP Xbox just sucks i grew up with PS and i played halo with my friend the controller stinks PS2 does great but im just a Pc gamer playing Galaxies and Bf1942 but Ps2 will loose alot of money when Halo2 comes out...and GTAlll:Vice city comes out on Xbox PS2 will go down the drain.. well gotta listen to some more radio and bf1942

If anything i tend to think of like this-----

If you want quality games, with quality hardware Get Nintendo.

If you want alot of Sweet games and few cheap extra for a cheap price, get PS2

If you want raw power, online gameing, and some PC abilities get XBox

with one going for shear raw power , and the way the OS system on the XBox is set up, they had games for it before the thing was proto typed.

Sony isn't harder to to develop for, they are cheaper, and host of third party Dev kits available, it isn't the development that scares game companies for sony. its the hardware, if you remember, sony was the first to come out with its next gen. system, but it was buggy.and it was hardware. mostly because they did all the hardware themsellves. They refused to outsource any aspect on the PS2, not even for graphics or sound. although all of which are good, they need to learn to get secound opinion. otherwise, it looks and feels jerryrigged from the get go.

Nintendo played it safe and striaght forward, no matter what system developer you are worshipping at the time, you can't give nintendo enough love. again, hate to sound like the fanboy squag, but i believe that the nintendo seal of quality is worth alot more than it was when it started. i think that no matter what system you end up playing the most, the nintendo system will alwaysdeliver on its promises and always be there when you need it. that that old girlfrien you keep on the side......wait, was that out loud.. ohhh hell, kathy's gonna kill me.
