Yes, indeed, Wolverine did get his adamantium back. I'm pretty sure it happened in Wolverine #100. Apocalypse turned Wolverine into one of his Four Horsemen. He turned Wolverine into Death and replaced his adamantium skeleton. Let me tell you a thing about super hero comics...nothing is ever permanent. If someone dies in a comic most of the time they are not really dead. If the character is popular and if the fans are begging for it, they will find some way to bring back the character, whether it be a clone or raising the dead. When Wolverine lost his adamantium, I knew that it would return sometime. Wolverine's adamantium skeleton is a part of who he is. One thing that I liked about the whole Wolverine losing his adamantium skeleton thing was that it triggered one of my favorite X-Men events: Onslaught and even to some extent The Age Of Apocalypse.

I agree on this a little bit, but mostly, I disagree. I used to watch the old X-Men cartoons and don't get me wrong I still love them but I would not recommend the cartoon version of ANY comic as a reference. Why not just refer the original source itself, the actual X-Men and Uncanny X-Men comic book series. The cartoon series is not totally accurate when compared to the comic. Subtle and sometimes major changes are added to storylines. Watching the old X-Men cartoons when I was little actually got me interested in the comics. I have to admit, I never really read any of the X-Men comics on a regular basis back then. But every once in a while I’d go to the super market or something and find an issue with a cool cover or something, so I’d pick it up. In middle school, my friends were into comics, I’d go to comic shops with them and I’d buy trade paperbacks of stuff like X-Men and whatnot (this was the time when I read the Age of Apocalypse storyline). When I was in high school, I got a job and started making my own money that I could use to buy my own stuff. One day for some odd reason I decided to go to the comic shop. I went there and bought a few comics and ever since then, I’ve been hooked. I go to the comic shop every Wednesday (that’s when new comics come out). Today, I can finally say that I read X-Men on a regular basis. Specifically I read New X-Men (previously known as just X-Men) and Ultimate X-Men. I used to read Uncanny X-Men but I stopped that because I lost interest in the storyline. One thing I must warn though...comics can be expensive, especially if you are buying them every week and reading more than 20 different series and whatnot (which is what I do). But I’ve recently found out about a cheaper way to read comics...Bit Torrent. Bit Torrent is a file sharing type system where all kinds of comics can be found. Although I still prefer comics made of paper, I use Bit Torrent to read comics that are hard to find or issues of a certain series that I missed.
