I REALLY hope they didnt move the fucking black and white buttons to the top of the controller....they were in a perfect position for me and I got this wireless controller here that has the b/w buttons up near the triggers...but thank GOD they have the orginals in their places. I tried using the trigger b/w buttons but it sucks. Sony fanboys really WILL have a controller to flame if it goes the way its going. So eh....if you have a subscription to the current Xbox live will you have to subscribe to another one to play 360 games? It would make sense if you did but then again it wouldnt. It would make sense in a greedy corporation kind of way (not flaming MS of course) but it doesnt make sense in a "wtf it would be much simpler to blah blah blah" kind of way. So I guess ill have to wait til tomorrow at 9:30 to find out :/.

I actually like the design it seems to be in tune with the way games are going....I mean this thing could probably handle HL2 with ease and they will probably release HL2 on it just to prove it. The only thing that may not improve is the online play...cause thats more of an issue of how well your internet performs more than how well your system performs but you never know. I personally wanna see some kind of BF1942 style shooter come out that would support 64 players...not to mention TFLO may be out for Xbox 360 if god smiles down on the world XD. (I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that TFLO is on XBL)

And as we all know H3 is probably gonna be out soon after the release of 360...I hope they make it a bit different this time...I understand its an FPS but godamn H2 was almost exactly the same as H1.
Unreal Championship 2 had more innovation than that.

With ALL of that being said lets just hope it doesnt end up like the hypothesis on the front page and turn into a 15 minute thing of "celebrity" BS (if Eminem talks about it im gonna friggin shoot myself) and the 5 minutes of actual footage with the sound turned down and some dude explaining how he likes it. Either that or showing CLIPS like 2-3 second clips of footage (I know 2-3 seconds is a long time in an FPS but come on) and then switching back to let some celebrity nag about something for 2 minutes and then 3 more seconds of footage and then 2 more minutes of nagging.

PS: Did you all start that "OurColony" thing?

I think its safe to say that the MTV showing of the 360 was a waste. It was like BreakmanX predicted except it was like 23 minutes of celebrity endorsements, 10 seconds of footage, and 6 minute 50 seconds of commercial time.

But the parts they did show looked pretty sweet. Now we just gotta learn of a relase date because if they said on on there i missed it...is Conker: Live and Reloaded gonna be on it or something?

50 players in an Xbox FPS game...good god thats going to be something. The wireless controller is finally a good thing too. The detachable front is a bit of a waste though because I wouldn't think people would care all that much.

What they didnt tell us was: Is it backwards compatible, will XBL run on both the Xbox and the 360, will any of the controllers be old style, what is the release date, and if it could handle HL2 with ease.

Well said. Fifty people playing PD will be cool. I didn't realize right away people were commending on this in this thread, so I started my own, but it's gone now. Here's my thought from that thread. Oops.

I knew immediately when I heard about the show on MTV I wouldn't be expecting much, and I wasn't proven wrong. It's not quite as bad as last year's Sony press conference, but it was still quite painful to watch.

What little gameplay they showed didn't look too bad, but you hardly saw anything, and it was in little clips so you didn't get much out of it. If they would have done a couple things differently, it might have been a little better.

I wish they'd have shown a movie over that first performance. Show the system, controller, game video clips, ect while the band preforms. And in the PD competition, I wish they would have done something like the show on G4, where you saw actual footage more often. I don't care much about close up's on faces constantly.

I knew it wouldn't be much, but those are my thoughts. It was pretty much a waste of time. The one thing I learned that I didn't know before was the face plate idea. It's unique I guess and I wasn't expecting that.
