You think people on this board have been posting only the unbiased truth? Unfettered by personal grudges and the desire to bait Sony fanboys? God you're naive.

Believe what you want. I felt that Sony was being attacked too much, and I like Sony, so I'm trying to give the company and it's handheld the props I think they deserve.

Well, you just do that, and I'll still say that it is WAY over priced cause THAT'S the feelings I have towards that issue.

Yes, and you're wrong.

We anger everyone from time to time. Fanboys of all types think we're biased. I get msgs from Nintendo fanboys, Xbox fanboys, and Sony fanboys all saying the exacy same thing, "You are way too biased against (insert fanboys console here.) You praise the other two too much, you must have a grudge against mine."

I can't count how many times that happens. I'm sorry you feel that your system has been wronged, but the BMX crew is completely unbiased. Now, you might be speaking about regular users and nonstaff on the forum I have no control over, but I'm obviously not defending them.

Bottom line about PSP; Many funny news reports came out about it's flaws, and Sony's defense, or lack thereof, so we teased it. We were honest. It came out and rocked our pants off as they had fixed all the things we made fun of. Therefore we changed our minds. You take information, and make decisions. That's one of the bad parts of this job, though, (although I wouldn't trade it for anything) you make decisions and people flip out at your decision and then your decision to change. Either way, I'm completely honest and say exactly what I think. If you just want spin then there are many organizations for that.

I'm sorry to use you for an example, but I am growing a tad tiring of hearing the same thing from all three camps (and thus proving eachother wrong unknowingly. Thought I would step up and say what's happening.)

Also.. there's nothing wrong with being a fanboy, unless of course you're a journalist.

So you don't think Atticus was being biased or baiting Sony fans when he said he wasn't getting a PSP because he had a brain?

Or when Richie said "It's still f***ing worthless"?

Hmm.

Maybe we differ on our definitions of "bias" or "baiting". :?

I'm not blaming anyone, everyone here has the right to their opinion, but I also have the right to defend things I think are being delt with too harshly, don't I?

It still cracks me up that you look past all the good things he's said about it in the last show as well as everything about Gran Turismo 4. Also, Richie tends to joke or be sarcastic. We all do it from time to time. I believe your above statement was a joke.

Obviously you have the opportunity to defend your love, and the only reason I'm even saying anything is that you claim we're biased, and that is one thing we're not. I guess since we like the PSP now we're biased for it.

Finally, Atticus is not part of the staff so I really don't know what you want me to do about his anti-Sony tirades (or the fact he's been praising God of War and GT4.) I guess I could spank him, but he's far too good a friend of mind for that kind of action. My suggestion would be to be a tad more respectful to other members of the forum, and also to get to know our sense of humor before you say things like "Dur-hey."

It was my OPINION that it was just not SMART *hence the brain post* to buy a 200 dollar handheld when I would most likely be sitting in front of my nice flat screen 27" just sitting there useless.

Trust me Verence, our jokes are just to fuck with people like you, that LOVE Sony. We're just trying to have some fun. You can defend Sony or do the same thing we do to Sony to something we enjoy. I porobably will buy a PSP when the price comes down cause it looks hot, but handhelds aren't really my style cause im never really on long trips or shit like that.

I really think a spanking is out of the question...unless you can find a young blonde KU girl to do it....then im all in...

We really do need an official BMX.com spanker for times like this. Definitely female.

So yeah....my PSP is my third one. A couple dead pixels on a 17" 1600x1200 native display are no biggie, but I have a hard time accepting three, then four on a much smaller ratio...especially at the asking price.

My current one has one dead pixel but is only noticeable on a backlit-black screen.

It's no matter...there really aren't any games worth $300 right now anyway. Don't rush out to get one if you don't already.

But the hardware itself is pure sexy.

I love mine, and oddly enough I have no dead pixels. Lucky, I guess?

I'm not mad! I do not require punishment! Relax!

I'm not taking everything as seriously as you seem to think I am.

I don't love the company Sony any more than the company Microsoft of Nintendo (though I do own more PS2 and PS1 games than I own Gamecube and Xbox games put together), I just thought the board needed a pro-Sony voice for a little bit.

I wouldn't say you're lucky to have gotten no dead pixels, so much as he was mad unlucky. I don't know anyone who's actually gotten Dead pixels. Except for him now.
Lumines is pretty fun. i wouldn't say go buy a system for it though.
And Twisted Metal is maybe the best TM i've ever played. Different, but as good as black. But on the other hand, it is just MORE twisted metal. Nothing compleatly new of note. So after a while i'd hink you'd get bored.
the environments are REALLY destructable though. I would think since it's on a handheld it owuld be all dumbed down and simple, but absolutley not the case. Really all it lacks is good story telling. The only movies are endings, and of the maybe 7 of them I have seen maybe 1 was actually interesting, and seemed liek thought went into it. but it IS fun.
Where the hell is Kingdom Hearts 2?

Yeah, out of all the people who bought PSPs at my store (20+), no one came back for a replacement.

Mad unlucky.

I can't wait for Square to start releasing games on the PSP. I know Crisis Core can't be the only one in development. A port of Kingdom Hearts International would be awesome (the Japanese release with extended KH2 teaser cinema and a fight between Cloud and Sephiroth).
