Have I mentioned how much I love "Ready Steady Go"? I just think L'Arc~en~Ciel rocks (the band), and I've always been a fan of their music. They're also performing "Lost Heaven", the Movie's theme.
Aside from that... Winry once again proves she's stronger than any alchemist alive. Her and that wrench of hers...
its nice seeing her again, especially considering after this and a small, one-episode adventure about a eight or so episodes from now, her screen time, aside from a few miscellaneous appearances, ends..
I wanna talk about the two people who burst into the office early in the episode and suddenly appearing at the end, but without hearing their voices for an extended period of time, I can't pass judgement on the English voice actress and actor. Let's wait and see what happens in the next episode.
.
Next episode is episode #27, "Teacher" (JAP & ENG). The next couple of episodes provide backstory on the Elric brother's alchemic past and how they came to learn it all. It's also at this point where the series begins to lose its comedic atmosphere and the 'near-truth' story sets its beginning to emerge in the not too far future...
P.S.: w00t! They changed the ending to "Motherland" (at least, I'm pretty sure that's it). Sweetness. I hope they'll change the OP as well; I'd like to see the "Rewrite" OP come on, but, if anything, it'd probably be "Undo".

I just bought DVD volume 1 of Fullmetal Alchemist. It was released not too long ago and I've been itchin' to get my fingers on it to see how much cool stuff I get with it. Here I give my review for it:
Volume 1 carries with it a full color booklet with story synopsis, character biographies for Edward and Alphonse, character concept art for all character appearing throughout the first four episodes (four episodes per DVD), and, of course, kick ass images including some concept art for various places and backgrounds (for the anime). The slip cover for the DVD case is a reversable and has a really sweet image of Ed in a cool pose.
In addition to this coolness, there is a perfect feature on these DVDs that has put me in the best mood possible about FUNimation: Their use of the Angle feature. During the OP and ED, the text is defaulted to English (ie. staff credits, voice credits, etc.), however, if you press the Angle button on your DVD remote, within 2 to 5 seconds (on my machine at least), it will switch to its original defaulted Japanese text. The same goes for the title: when passing over the title in default mode, it reads FUNimation's "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" logo, but with Angle 2 showing, we see the original animation and logo for "HAGANE NO RENKINJUTSUSHI". You have no idea the pleasant thoughts racing through my head when I figured this out... I wanna bake a cake for FUNimation!
Additionally, the DVD extras include clean cuts of the OP and ED themes. For those not familiar with the abbreviation, that the Opening and Ending, and they're completely textless; they include the Angle feature for both FUNimation and original versions (I'm not sure what's different about the ED theme to require the Angle feature). We have production art that includes Illustration art, line art, and a model gallery. We have, as well, Japanese commercials for the the premiere episode and ongoing episodes to promote the series. And last but not least (excluding the trailers for other FUNimation titles) we have character biographies for Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Trisha Elric, Roy Mustang, Winry Rockbell, Pinako Rockbell, Lust, Gluttony, Majhal, and Clause.
What can I say? FUNimation has totally redeemed themselves from past releases and mistakes and they just need to keep it up for future releases that I plan to eventually get (Spiral being a big one). In short:
"Fullmetal Alchemist DVD Volume 1: the Curse" should not be missed by any domestic Fullmetal Alchemist fan. Go grab your copy today! You won't regret it: Sweet snacks and candy galore!

I cant wait to watch Ed's teacher beat his ass for using alchemy to try to bring back his mother XD. Man she looks psychotic enough without her possible top student doing illegal and forbidden alchemy behind her back XD
Ed needs to get one of those little mini rocket launchers that can be built into the automail....with a bar of metal and a handful of gunpowder he could easily make it shoot 5 rockets. Aside from that I can see why he would want his brothers body back but I cant see why he wants his original arms and legs...I mean he would easily be dead already if he had them.
If you want my guess....I think Envy will be the first to go. THe only thing she can do alchemic wise is shapeshift and she has a few fighting skills (woopty fucking doo) so unless shes carrying a gun like before I dont think shes gonna be much of a problem when it comes to fighting her...and when do we get to see Greed in action? That psychosonovabitch is probably gonna end up killing Lust (Hey from how much anime I watch theres usually a badguy that kills another badguy).
O and remember how i said I wanted to put salt on someone and throw him in a room with Gluttony? I changed my mind. I want to throw him into a room with Winry and give her a wrench and say he cheating at a high stakes poker game

Hmm... We don't get to see Greed fight for a while... Mostly what's happening now in the series, the next few episodes, concentrates on Ed, Al, and Izumi (their teacher). Basically just some major backstory that leads directly into a plot twist -- a major plot twist. You'll like it, we just gotta get over this bump.
If you REALLY wanna give [edit]that guy[/edit] some pain, put him in there with both Winry and Izumi. I shudder at the pain... I can't decide who's scarier.

As of May 14th, Fullmetal Alchemist is being pulled from the Saturday lineup and is being replaced by Samurai Champloo.
Needless to say, this sucks uber ass... Especially for Typheus and Verence. I feel so very fucking sorry for you. I'm doing research on when it is supposed to resurface. It's widely popular, so it should only be relocated. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was also pulled.
EDIT: Fullmetal Alchemist is now Monday-Friday starting this coming Monday at 1:00am, following InuYasha, and will be starting from episode 1 ("To Challange the Sun"). Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is following the same procedure.
I think I speak for Typheus and Verence when I express my extreme outrage with two words: Mother FuckStix. And here I was celebrating the 25 episode mark with a new avatar... And they also stopped on the first episode of the new arc. Fuckers.

I hate Adult Swim...sorry Zephie but no anime will make up for a lack of common sense. Speaking of animes Sonic X is about to come on so I may cut this short.
WHY!? WHATS THE POINT!? THEY RUN OUT OF EPISODES OR SOMETHING!?
Now Metropolis and Samurai Champloo sound good but I want to at least finish the friggin animes they have before they decide to ad others. I was really looking forward to learnig more about Ed's past...but nvm then if they wanna cut it off when its really getting good...idiots.
So is this the end of this topic? Your the only one here that knows anything of FMA past the last episode on Adult Swim. Ack words cant express how much this sucks...hey at least there will be SOMETHING to watch tonight. Can you tell me if Samurai Champloo (Champloo....wtf?)
will be worth watching along with Metropolis?
O CRAP I JUST THOGHT OF SOMETHING! What if they are only taking it on long enough to do episodes 1-26 and then they are going to put it back onto the Saturday lineup? I think I have seen similar procedures on Toonami before, although this could just be wishful thinking.

Can't type long.
Samurai Champloo is a good anime; its a popular samurai show, even whem fansubbed, and many many people liked it. As for Metropolis, this is a movie. A very kick ass movie. Watch it and enjoy it.
I haven't seen Champloo before, so we'll follow it together.
At the start of new FMA's, I'll say this topic should come back. It should reappear sometime soon, replacing an old one; chances are they just ran out of episodes. It happens, an actor gets sick or something and FUNimation can't complete the episodes on time or something.

Posted in one for you must be like talking about a movie youve alreayd seen to a couple people who havn't yet...must be hard not to spoil it >>
