Demivee, I didn't quite get the point of your post. Bungie is a studio within Microsoft Game Studios. We are a cog in a gear of the Mighty Mothership- not an independant company. We maintain some creative control over Halo, but MS owns it just like they own Crimson Skies and Mech Warrior.
I also don't agree with losing the sniper trails. It's important that shooting gives away your position. It forces the sniper to play smarter, not just camp. Holding an Elite sword as a melee weapon is a suggestion we get all the time.... just wait and see

The best suggestion that I could conjure up that I haven't heard anyone else mention:
Implement the XBoxLIVE headsets into all multiplayer games, including split screen, and especially system link. Having voice communication with teammates who are sitting away from you, possibly in another room, would be grand i think.
Even better than that would be a more specialized audio feed going into your individual headset, so that when you hear the gun shots going off in multiplayer and they are coming loudly through your headset, you know that the action is around you, and not across the map where your teammate is.
I enjoy playing alone on xbconnect sometimes just because when I hear a grenade clinking around, I know I better do something about it. With three other teammates on the same tv, a player tends to dismiss the audio of the game a little too much.
Just some thoughts, as I have no idea what it would take to implement any idea, much less this one. This one just seemed to have a little more redeeming value than the suggestion of the yellow ghost, or banshee or whatever it was.

This may seem completely trivial, but being able to turn off the overshield/camoflauge pick-up sound effects in multiplayer. When you are on system link in the other room, it's a dead giveaway for position.
Heck while I speak of the trivial, here are my other suggestions. ( I'll try not to repeat)
1. Frankly, I think customizable music will destroy the atmosphere in multiplayer that Bungie does so well...but if it's optional, it can't hurt I guess. Music in a game must be context-sensitive...playing any old tune with dynamics that don't synch with the action (or lack thereof) would be weird.
2. I hope to God Ice Fields, Danger Canyon and Death Island appear in Halo 2. Those are incredible CTF matches where you can really get in a rhythm.
3. I know someone said 4-player co-op w/voice comm...but here it is again! Not sure how you would work around the resources to make that happen..but just a suggestion.
4. Bean, were you serious about changing the mouth animations for speech (getting rid of the marionette look)? Niiiiiice.
5. True randomized spawn points, to prevent tank campers.
6. Customizable re-spawn rates for weapons. ("Holy crap when is the #$$# Sniper rifle going to respawn?")
7. Being able to capture a falling banshee by jumping off a ledge and falling at a slightly faster rate. (seeing "Press X to get in Banshee" while in the air next to one)
That's it for now.
Oh wait and 8. A version of UT2K4's "Onslaught" mode where you capture nodes on the way to the opposite team's core would be right at home with Halo.

ok i see what your saying, but what if they developed covenant AI thats like cortana only a purple grunt and then like they could fix it for u.
But then again the covenant are so advanced already they dont worry about wasting natural resources therefore their weapons are like 1 use only and dont need to be reloaded thats why they run on batteries, kinda like the ion cannon where u fire once and then it needs to recharge
and does anyone know if you'll be able to drive on of the big ass covenant tanks?

There was some mention of custom graphics on team uniforms in multiplayer, but if that isn't done, then at the very least increase team color options to more than just Red versus Blue. Personally I hate both colors. The problem with adding more color choices could be people fighting over the best colors in each map, but blue already has an advantage in maps like Hang em, and Derelict, so color being an advantage already exists. We usually allow the weaker team to use the better color or base in each map.
Also, if you happen to be in a large free for all game in Blood Gulch, it's in your interest to pick a brown color for your player. But, like the one guy always says, i'm not telling you anything you didn't already know.

If you noticed in the one screenshot that Bungie released involving the multiplayer, the blue and the red in multiplayer seems to be incredibly saturated.
I think this might be something that bungie is doing to make sure that neither team really has an advantage in any of the maps. If you take a look at that screenshot again, everyone stands out, no one blends in. Granted that it's a brown map, I think this is probably the idea that Bungie had behind the color decisions.

With the Hard drive, is there any way Bungie can incorporate Demo recording? This would obviously be incredibly useful.
Oh and with regard to "Guest" who claims to have beaten Halo in the first three days- Maybe on normal or heroic...but there is NO way you plunged into legendary and ripped through it that fast...unless you played it for 10+ hours each day.
And as I always say, if you haven't played Halo on Legendary, you havne't played Halo.
