Best Multiplayer modes (Halo or otherwise)

Okay...I am posting this to find out if me and my Halo buddies are in the norm or not . With regard to FPSs, what are your favoirte modes?

Capture the Flag is mostly everyone's favorite bar none.
Then Slayer (Deathmatch)
King of the Hill

Oddball, Race and other variants are pretty low on most people's lists in my experience.

i would have to say my 3 favorites are

oddball
then slayer

but i like to play team halo, it makes oddball more fun, slayer not as much but i think its a bit more fun that way.

CTF and deathmatch never get old. Rockets is fun, although I've only played it when just goofing around and not seriously gaming, and another one I like is elimination (the one where you get killed once and you're out of the game) but that's only cool with the maximum amount of players. I don't really like king of the hill, race, or oddball.

CTF is the best of course! Lol. I'm fond of classic deathmatch, but team deathmatches are really fun. I always liked the capture-and-hold/domination types of games a lot. I like Halo's King of the Hill, especially when the Hill moves around. Tribes 2 had a mode called "Bounty" where you were assigned 1 person to kill, and if you killed anyone else besides that person or the person assigned to kill you, you would get a penalty. Those were fun matches. Last Man Standing is fun sometimes. I also like the Hunters/Flag Hunters types. It all depends on the game.
