They had to keep some sort of a fantasy theme going, Master Chief is way too sci-fi.

Lol, Ice Climbers. An ice pick would be a bitch to try to block.
I have spoken.

I see Newman already put the pitch out there for the SC2 tournament on the 17th. Come and play, even if it's just for fun or to meet some new people to play. Playing the same people over and over can make the game get stale, so this is a chance to get some more variety, and even learn a few things.

As for control and special characters, I could go on and on. This game was simply amazing without any of the special additions, so to judge the game based on the exclusive character is just plain wrong. None of them are really even a part of the Soul series, at least not the way the other characters are. Sure they're entertaining to play, but they're not the real meat of the game. Ivy, Nightmare, and Mitsu are far more interesting. Still, Link/Spawn/Heihachi were marketing ploys to get more people to buy SC2, who might have otherwise passed up on the game, nothing more, nothing less, but it worked. Still, they're not nearly as cool or as deep as the real cast of the game.

As for control, I have the GC import. I got it because it didn't require a mod, just the freeloader disk. The GC controls are bad, only if you don't try to make it work. I've given them a chance, and with some time, you can become a very deadly fighter. I have big hands, and big thumbs, but somehow, that little d-pad works just great for me. I pull off Ivy's command throws the easiest on that little pad. Still, I prefer a button layout similar to the DC SC1 which I learned on, or an arcade stick. So, I go a dual shock with an adapter, or my arcade stick. I don't think you can find a playcube adapter anymore, but there are others like the gemeni 2 in 1 adapter that also allow you to use your dual shock. Personally, I like the DS just a teeny weeny bit better than the controller s, but the 's' serves me just as well. Really, I use a stick, and only a pad now when I really have to, even tho I've always been a pad player up until a few months ago. If you don't like the control, get an adapter so you can get the control you want, that's what I did!!! When it comes to the GC version that is....

Now, I hope to see a lot of you at the tournament come Saturday. I'll be bringing my big stick, so watch out!!!
I'll be damned if I ever get beat by a button masher!!!
