There was a study released recently by the US department of justice regarding violent video games and kids. I wish I had the link, but right now I am at work and am sure someone else can provide it. Basically, they took a long time and 1,024 kids and their parents and investigated to see if the violent games they played caused any sort of negative behavior. The answer? NO! Aboslutely NO CORRELATION!
Besides that, the report mentioned that since Doom, the first highly popularized violent game, the crime rate in the US has been cut in half despite the fact that the amount of people playing violent games has dramatically increased. Not only do games not cause violent behavior, but they might actually decrease violent behavior.
Anytime someone says games are violent you can quote this by the US Department of Justice. Also, point out the rediculousness of the studies cited by Jack Thompson and other morons. One of the main study that they site involves kids playing violent games and, NO JOKE, has kids blow into a blowhorn and if they blow longer than the kids not playing then that means they are going to be violent... This goes against psychological research and science in general as the blowing mechanism has never been tested or in any way been proven to show a person's violent tendencies. In short, BS. And there are many other BS studies bought and paid for by these media watchdog groups.
In short. We are right. They are wrong.

New theory:
Violence is caused by blowhorns.
Violence is caused by blowhorns.
