Magic Online

Post by RurouniQ »

So I started playing the official Magic Online client. I don't suppose anyone else here does/has?

Never even played the card game. And back when I was really heavy into TCG, I was always on top of the Yu-gi-oh scene.

Unfortunately it's not. You buy all your cards just like you would in real life. Aside from that, it's free. The upside is that buying singles is a lot simpler and often more economical, due to the fact that the market is literally nationwide. Some rare singles go for more though, because there's more demand.

that sounds interesting. Is there a way to somehow transfer your real cards over to the game?

Alas, no. However, if you collect an entire complete expansion or set in-game, you're able to exchange them for real-life copies.

Supposedly there are free alternatives, but the legality is questionable and like any sort of emulation, it takes considerably more work to set up and get working.
