Macbook Air

I am anti-mac, not saying there horrible but right now on the bottom of the list. why, because they do make pointless things such as the Macbook air. Cool it's thin, and light. there's lighter more powerfull windows based PC laptops out there. P.S. they have Ports and CD's as well.

I understand your hatred. I used to hate macs more than anyone, till I used one for the show. Using a mac for the show makes things some much easier and higher quality it is just rediculous.

I primarily play console games so it doesn't really bother me that I can't play too many games on my computer. Also, I can run Windows on my mac at full speed, or emulated at high speed within osx, so I could run games or whatever if I needed to.

That said, the air is rediculous and a waste of money. After spending many years hating macs with all my heart and soul, I now think that macs and pcs are good for different reasons and people.

Yup, it's retarded.

That being said, it's a step in the right direction. Totally wireless networking, no removable media drive built-in. It's just way too soon. Make the USB ports not suck, give it video-out of some kind, make it a touch-screen and wait about 10 years for widespread wireless to go into effect and you've got the future.

Haha, thanks ^_^ and yes i know your story. Mrs. Denk has told me about you. haha, If i wasn't using a 800 mhz with 342 mb of ram running 10.4.9 (a.k.a) slow as F*$&, i would probably like them better haha. but i hate them for this reason. "stupid i know". but i'll alway's be a windows person.

I actually got to use a Mac air this past week. It's got some cool features, such as the multi-touch pad, sensors that automatically adjust brightness to the tone of the environment, and it's just really really really fucking thin. It also runs OSX and Vista like a charm. But there is no way in hell I would spend 1,800-3000k on the thing. I would gladly buy it for 200-300. That being said: GO LINUX! OPEN SOURCE FTMFW!

yes i am, i work in soloman so i'll be there probably earlier then it starts. haha. I'll bring my DC-AC adapter 360 and a small 12 inch t.v so i can play in the parking lot untill it starts haha. hmmm. i'll learn a little more elvish so i can say sentences that no one will know as well muahhahahahaha. ps. linux is the 2nd best. but very well compared to windows.

Thing is, since I stopped using OS X and Linux on my laptop and desktop respectively, I've been way more productive. It's nice to have an operating system that doesn't require constant maintenance, fiddling, or workarounds to have things working (that and Office 2007 is dreamy). On top of that, Vista has some really nice font rasterization technology in it along with new fonts that are designed to really take advantage of cleartype, and I've noticed a lot less eye strain because of it.

Frankly, if it were open source Microsoft wouldn't be able to produce what is, in my mind at least, such a stellar product. For instance, those fonts that I think are so amazing cost Microsoft millions of dollars to produce; just 8 fonts.
