Windows Vista, MCE, and Xbox 360...wtf

Trying to setup Vista's Windows Media Center with my 360. Unfortunately, it fails at configuring the computer for use with the extender. I honestly dont know what the problem is. I also can't seem to find a solution on the net anywhere.

I hope this isn't another one of Vista's "perks"

Check ports on the router. In WMC there is an option when setting it up so try that. 2nd Are you sure youre entering the correct Key that your 360 is giving you? 3rd, After you enter the key in WMC Keep your 360 on the screen that gives you the 8 digit Key, and it will go to a black WMC Screen that say's connecting. If all is well it should work.

I really wish 360 was compatible with SMB (windows sharing) as I do with XBMC; so much more continent than using WMC. I've heard you can use UPnP which would be ok as well, but I can't seem to get it configured correctly on my sever.

Amen to that one haha, I love XBMC. And my modded xbox with an 80 gig HD in it. I know it’s not much haha. But it gets the job done. And it saves my disks from getting scratched as well.
