People have bashed it, people have hated it, people have doubted this day would ever happen. The Playstation store has gone the way of Xbox Live with one or two new conveniences. No longer do we have to put up with that terrible HTML ... err ... PHP based (sorry Vamp) store.

Speaking of MGS4, have you seen the box art? It's fucking horrible and a huge insult to us fans. I might just trade it in and get the limited edition version.

I don't think the deciding factor of your purchase should be how pretty the box is.

1) Why can't I see mecha's post?
2) At a glance, very little of it appears to be PHP at the moment. It seems to be a very web2.0-y AJAX site, so basically JavaScript + XML + HTML.

Fanboy, their store isn't really HTML based, it's PHP and JavaScript based, most of it being rendered in HTML as that just happens to be the web standard. In this case, Sony wants to keep cross platform compatibility of their service so that people who own a PSP but not a PS3 can still make purchases on their PCs.
