Cloverfield (Only if you saw it)

Game sighting in a movie? Saw something on the screen other than a game? Weird, let us know.

Cloverfield (Only if you saw it)

Post by Typheus »

What did you all think?

*Edit by Richie* Spoilers ahead, read at your discretion.

I thought it was scary as hell, especially those tiny ones. Those bitches move so fast, you barely have time to react, but at least with the big one, you know it's coming, right?

And for those of you that missed it, like many did, at the end, when they were on the Ferris Wheel, you see something plop into the ocean in the background but no one notices it. Cloverfield, perhaps?

And another thing, do you know if they got nuked or carpet bombed near the end when they whole Hammer thing started?

eh that's rather different than putting a spoiler warning. anyway, spoilers dont affect me AS bad as other people. I can't wait to see this movie. everyone and their pet of choice has seen it in my area.

It is different...You see, if there were *spoiler* in the title, I would've been less inclined to read this. I've read about 3 words of the post already because...for some reason, "(only if you saw it)" makes this VERY tempting to click on...

*spoiler* Is much less tempting...

Well, I knew I wasn't dealing with people on the GameFAQs IQ level so I figured you all'd read the title and realize that it was about things that you probably wouldn't understand until after you saw it.

No offense.

Yeah, it's very tempting to open a thread like this. I wanted to give the yet-to-see people a second chance before spoiling their experience.

Well you've already had at least 2 guys that didn't see the movie jump into the topic...

But it's not so much a matter of IQ as it is with temptation and psychology and such.

And, on topic, I wasn't blown away by it, but thought it was fun. Not particularly scary, just because we've seen all the techniques before. Great use of crowd reaction to the statue's head flying into the street, everyone using their camera phone to document the moment, priceless. Hated the dude who was carrying the camera, our narrator. I realize he was comedy relief, but the shit he would say, even during the tense moments, was so moronic I was glad when he died.

Don't think it'll be a dvd purchase, but glad I saw it. The song 'Roar!' over the end credits is a great piece of music.

I really liked it. I'm hoping they go through with the sequel the way they said they would do it by using another point of view during the same attack. JJ Abrams is fucking great producer. Any real LOST fan should notice his work in the film.
