SO I bought the new DS Lite Gold Zelda Edition

Post by Jbrown »

For my GF for Christmas, and it comes with the New Zelda game. Is this game good? Good decision for present?

And most importantly, what else should I get for her relating to the new DS? Any needed accesories?
I'm excited to give this to her :D

Let me know people :)

ehh, there's no way to play movies on the DS (unless you mod it), and If there was, I don't think it'd look any good on it's screen.

as for Zelda, I heard it's a great game, I have't played it yet though, so I don't know. Ask Break or Q, I remember they were the ones that talked about it on the show.

Actually there is one way...Something they developed a couple months back that you put into your game slot, then you hook the DS up to your computer and upload movies onto the thing you put into the slot and you can watch the movies on there then...

It's really tedious and there's a lot of requirements to be met though so eh...Not recommended for...anyone really...I never had an interest in it really...thought it was neat they were capable of doing it without altering the hardware though...

EDIT: Also, Jbrown...Nintendo still hasn't ever called the DS a Gameboy...

Um...Kirby Canvas Curse and New Super Mario Bros. are always good choices. 2 of my favorites.

WarioWare was fairly good too, but WarioWare games have a tendency to be short...Um...Phantom Hourglass would probably be good, but I'm financially challenged and haven't gotten it yet so I can't vouch yet...

And um...Mario Kart DS is always a good choice. Always. And that's all I got in my head right now since I'm kinda distracted but yeah...that should be enough for now...

Okay, I'm female, and this is what I'd probably consider picking up for me (might help give you some ideas for your woman):

Tetris
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Brain Age
Planet Puzzle League
Big Brain Academy
MySims
Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits
Kirby: Squeak Squad
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Also, Amazon do a Nintendo DS Lite Travel Kit which might be worth a look.

Mario Kart DS

Feel The Magic XY/XX

I have these two games and these are the ones that every female that's touched my DS has enjoyed. :?

Feel the magic is like, what? 2 dollars now?

I say Animal Crossing would be a good game to get her. I don't know what your girlfriend is like, but everybody loves Animal Crossing. My friends little sister would basically steal my DS and my AC game whenever I went over and she doesn't normally play games.

Well I have lots to pick from now, I may just let her play Zelda for awhile and get her Brain Age since I hear so much about it.

Thanks everyone

It really depends on what kind of gamer she is. Is she a gamer, or someone who plays games on occasion? What other games does she enjoy?

She enjoys Kingdom Hearts, girlier(sp?) RPGs pretty much. I know for a fact she LOVED kingdom hearts though.
