Q is right about the sales vs. marketing. Halo 3 will make back every penny and then some. Its a powerful machine of marketing. It is quite possibly the most mainstream game there is as casual, hardcore, and in between gamers play it.

But, Q, Microsoft is prone to stupid mistakes... like having 100% of the systems up until recently being defective.

I just saw on 1up that they have a release date released for Final Fantasy VII Ps3. Obviously this is probably not the release date, and they don't have much of anything to back it up.

I am already planning a "ff7 remake will never happen" montage featuring Richie, Q, and Maul for when it is all made official.

I'm pretty sure I didn't say, "It'll never happen."

I probably did say something along the lines of, "There's no screenshots, no press releases, or production information about a FF7 remake, so why are you excited?"

I probably also said something like, "If it does come out, I'll be the first one in line."

FF7 really is a ridiculously overrated game. It may be a good game...but jesus it's insane how overrated games get. I mean the only game that I played that I really believe entirely lives up to the hype so far is Guitar Hero *drool* ahem...but yeah...the constant overrating of so many games is pissing me off lately...

BreakmanX, you use a shitty MAC? Godamnit, I may actually like the things if one of my roommates didn't always have me coming over trying to fucking fix it for him. Hell, I don't even use a MAC and I can fix all of the shit problems he keeps getting. Makes me think it's full of nothing but problems, though. I know my school doesn't supply anything that works with it.

Break, is a Mac really a good choice, or do you think you fucked up and just don't have the money to get a Windows PC?

And godamnit, Vista aint as bad as some are making it to be. If it used to have constant crashing, it's been resolved because my laptop may crash every so often, but I KNOW it's because it's over-heating--feel the bottom of the thing, it's like an oven.

And so I end my rant with a final note. "FUCK APPLE AND MICROSOFT, AND WHATEVER POOR BASTARD MADE LINUX!"

Mac does everything I do (audio, music, video, and internet) better than Windows in every conceivable way. If you have a 360, I see no reason to own a PC. The only place that Macs lag is gaming, but I do that on my consoles.

For the show, for example, I used to have ENDLESS problems with all aspects of it. Now the only problem I have is my server truncating file transfers and cutting off shows. The only time my mac has ever crashed is when I've tried to do things on it that I shouldn't. Running unfinished programs or whatever. Conversely, my PC used to crash at least weekly if not daily with full version programs.

I used a PC from 1993 - 2000, Linux 2000 - 2001 (and kinda 2002ish I used to dual boot) Windows from 2002 - 2004, and Mac since 2004. In 2004 I had this HUGE crash on my computer that basically fried the whole thing.. its a long story but had to do with BIOS and CMOS issues leading to voltage issues with the CPU and fire. I used to absolutely hate macs, but I was so angry with what happened to my PC that I was ready for a change. I have yet to use an operating system better than OSX, but I would love to. I'm always open and ready to adapt with anything, so if I found something better I would have no qualms with changing. As it stands, though, OSX and Macintosh is the best computing platform.

And a VI remake would be amazing as well. I would love it and buy it on release day. With how popular VI is I'd imagine they would. Most people say VI or VII is their favorite and usually the other one is their second favorite.

Almost done beating FFVI, it DOES deserve a remake as well. It's epic.

Games usually tend to lose their charm with remakes. I'd rather have a cleaned up version of FF7 on my PSP. Same goes for FF6, which they pretty much have already done on the GBA.

I've played through FF7 enough times to the point where I don't really want a remake. I'd rather have something set in the same universe with the same core mechanics.

I love to see stuff re-imagined, to me it is like getting a different camera angle on your favorite movie. A new perspective.

That said, a new game with the same play mechanics would be absolutely amazing too.

Only difference between FFVI and FFVII is that no one spoils FFVI, so when I DO play it, I won't know everything that's gonna happen.

I mean how many people here don't know everything behind FFVII? I mean I've never played it, and I can probably tell you the gist of the whole game.

Time seems to have soured at least a few gamers opinions of the FF remake, and while looking for something I found Q's opinion of a FF remake from his first show; December 7th, 2002.

At 21:15 you can hear him discuss the FFVII remake. "I am waiting for the remakes!" in an excited tone. http://breakmanx.com/content/view/507/49/ to download the show.

Obviously, we've all changed our opinions during the show and been glaringly wrong on occasion... I originally thought Xbox Live would be shitty and that GameCube's online would rock it off its perch. Hey, I loved PSO... but can anyone NOT lol at that? When I put links up to all the shows that are not currently up (between Sep 02 and Feb 15th 04) you can hear more humorous predictions that either did or did not come true. We made several right ones as well.

Honestly, I think Q's Naughty Bits are even more entertaining than they were at the time since we now know what transpired. In the above show he talks about Retro and how awesome they are and that they should make more games. At any rate, I think it is a lot of fun to hear our old predictions.
