Did I mention the new TMNT rules?

Game sighting in a movie? Saw something on the screen other than a game? Weird, let us know.

New TMNT: hardcore or not?

Did I mention the new TMNT rules?

I've been watching it off and on since it started about a year ago, and damn if I haven't been impressed the whole way. The characters are more individual instead of being slightly different carbon copies of each other; they act more like the Turtles from the movies and comics than the old cartoon. The animation is incredibly well done; the fight scenes are enough to literally make me start rooting for the Turtles out loud. Add in the cinematic wipes and effects used and you have a rock solid cartoon.
What sparks this rant is the fact that I just saw the episode "Return to New York Pt. 3," which closes off the Shredder story arc (at least the first one, I'm sure there'll be more). It was by far the BEST Turtles episode I've ever seen, from this series or the old one. I don't want to give anything away, but let's just say they went where no Turtle has gone before; my jaw dropped at the climax of the story. And of course, they didn't close everything off; Splinter's missing, even though the villain has been defeated so now they have to go find him. That's one thing I love about the new series; they don't take breaks. There's always something left for the Turtles to take care of, the result of which is a show that flows smoothly from episode to episode, making it entirely possible to watch them end on end if such a chance comes up.
Go watch this shit now. Buy the DVDs (they're $15 a piece, 4 episodes each), download them from someplace illegal, I don't care, just get off your ass and watch this shit. You won't regret it.

TMNT is great, but what I'm REALLY looking forward to is the Star Wars: Clone Wars microseries.
