Torrents not downloading on Vista?

Post by Typheus »

I have my laptop with me right here, trying to download Bleach adn Naruto subs for the first time on it. They're torrents, of course.

Well I tried Bitlord 2, which was experimental...the downloads wouldn't connect so I figured it was glitchy and may not work with vista.

I tried Bitlord 1, my favorite torrent client. Same thing. The download task is there, but it won't connect.

I tried Bittorrent. SAME DAMN THING.

What the hell is with Vista and the godamn torrents? I want my anime! >: (

Yeah, it sucks that all you get to watch on television are the dubbed and even more tragically edited episodes. It's hellish waiting for all of the uncut dvd box sets to be released with the Japanese audio and english subs, but at least they are eventually going to be available.

And Vista has lots of issues right across the board, which is why I wouldn't ever choose it as an operating system.

I believe that Vista blocks certain ports... Azureus is always good at fixing these sorts of issues.

Wouldn't be the first school to restrict the access of its users.

It's not vista, more than likely your internet service. Providers are starting to block from the source, can't get around it. I use Utorrent, works fine with me.

That's bullshit. I can understand on this campus (which I confirmed is true) that they block it, but when you're in your own home and your ISP says "You can't use this?" Shit, I'd happily switch to another ISP if the ones I'm with think they can tell me what I can and cannot download on my godamn computer.
